I love this Bible.

Jim Mahoney's comment on 10/30/2012, 9:25am...

John teaches me that Jesus and his Father are one in the same. I had a tendency to separate the Two and John has given me clarity on this.

Deborah Mayes's comment about verse 33 on 9/14/2012, 10:48am...

It means that the disciples was so caught up in bodily food they could not understand spiritually. They were carnal (understanding more fleshly than spiritual)

Ogunmodede folorunso's comment about verse 23 on 8/31/2012, 3:27pm...

that is,end of all things is now

Tracy-Ann Walker's comment on 8/04/2012, 11:07pm...

It is amazing the way God thinks or view things, his thoughts are certainly higher than ours and his ways are different. In the end it proves all of us want to feel a sense of belonging and to know that somebody loves us. Jesus is our greatest example; if we follow him we are set.

Shawndell's comment on 4/20/2012, 3:35pm...

I just love the Lord.Though he is a GOD of wrath he is a GOD of LOVE,PATIENCE,LONGSUFFERING,TENDER MERCIES,N SALVATION though we make it hard for ourselves through disobedience n have to suffer hard tribulations,we know that God loves us because he first showed us his love by what he has done for us through his SON JESUS CHRIST.GOD loves us so much that he suffered his own son for us,sinners like u n me.What a love that is in GOD for us?!!!How can we ever repay him?In all that he did he only ask us to worship n obey him.Dont u think that is our reasonable service to him?"HELP US LORD!!!"

Quincy powers's comment on 3/04/2012, 8:41pm...

thirst that was satified with believe, not for now; but forever.

Rene's comment about verse 24 on 12/07/2011, 2:37am...

i believe it means that worship is a STATE OF BEING and not a boring physical ceremony which is performed every once in a while (Saturday?, Sunday?)inside a building (church, TEMPLE, TABERNACLE, WHAT HAVE YOU). Worship means submission and you get into that mode once you submit your all to the Lord Jesus Christ. Worship starts at salvation and is supposed to be eternal. You miss the point entirely if you think you're going to church to worship. God does not live there any more! He has transferred residence. He now lives in you. You don't go to church to worship. you go to church because you already are in a worship mood. No need to get your emotions up with special numbers and other ceremonial things done in the temple. Ever notice that there is no command in the new testament that enjoins the christian to worship? Only the devil was told "thou shalt worship the Lord they God". it would be redundant for the writers to be telling the christian to do something they are already immersed in. we come to church for a different purpose, and that is, " not to forget the assembling of ourselves together" so we can take care of one another's burdens, physical or spiritual

Jael's comment on 9/11/2011, 3:17am...

Jacob's well! (and living in Connecticut, nô doubt). The woman is reminding Jesus who she thinks is Jewish, that Samaria is the original Holy land where dwelt the patriarch,
And that the tribe occupying Jerusalem have hijacked the Pentateuch for political and expansionist purposes - aided by the Romans of course. Things haven't changed much over the centuries have they? But perhaps we need "Jacob's Ladder" to show us the reality behind this story

RC's comment on 8/08/2011, 7:13pm...

42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard [him] ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, " the Saviour " of the world.

Isaiah 42:5 - 5 Thus saith God the LORD, ,....
42:6 - I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, ....
42:8 - " I [am] " the LORD: that [is] my name: and ....
42:13 - 13 The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: ....
43:3 - 3 For " I [am] " the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour:....
43:11 - 11 I, [even] " I, [am] " the LORD; and beside me [there is] no saviour.
43:12 - 12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when [there was] no strange [god] among you: therefore ye [are] my witnesses, saith the LORD, that " I [am] " God.

Isaiah 43:14 - Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; ....
Isaiah 43:15 - " I [am] " the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.

John 13:19 - 19 Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that " I am " [he].

John 4:25 - The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

John 4:26 - 26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee " am [he] ".

Isaiah 43:11 - 11 I, [even] " I, [am] " the LORD; and beside me [there is] no saviour.

Isaiah 43:19 - 19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, [and] rivers in the desert.

John 4:22 - Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

John 8:58 - Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, " I am ".

Isaiah 55:8-9
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the LORD.
9 As high as the heavens are above the earth, so high are my ways above your ways and my thoughts above your thoughts.

2 Corinthians 3:14-16, 18
14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which [vail] is done away in Christ.
15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, [even] as by the Spirit of the Lord.

The Old and New Testament BOTH speak the truth that THE LORD, GOD is alive.
There is ONLY ONE GOD. There is only ONE Saviour.

Isaiah 43:11 - 11 I, [even] " I, [am] " the LORD; and beside me [there is] no saviour.

In Christ Jesus, our LORD, our GOD, and Saviour, AMEN

Hal Britton's comment about verse 7 on 4/01/2011, 8:08pm...

This is most likely my favorite scripture. Having gone through a divorce myself, this scripture proves that a divorced man,(woman) can serve God. The disciples had been with Jesus, what?, two months, one year, two years or maybe even three, regardless they went into town and brought back food. The Samaritan spent ten minutes (?) with Jesus, went into town, overflowed the living water and came back with, not food, but people hungry for a drink from the living well - Jesus Christ.

Crystal's comment about verse 13 on 3/24/2011, 10:29am...

Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again.

This is a great verse!!!!!

The named of my God is Jesus Christ. This named was not brought by mother's Mary. Through his announcements/characteristics of what is God is to be watch of to believe. These are the writing of the prophets/apostles to believe. No. 1. Num. 23:19 God is not a man, neither the son of man. 2. Hoses 11:9 for I am God, and not man. 3. Malachi 3:6 For I am the Lord, I change not. 4. Jh. 1:18 No man hat seen God at any time. 5. Jh. 3:6 Which is born of the flesh is flesh, born of the Spirit is Spirit. 6. Jh. 4:24 God is a Spirit. 7. I Tim. 1:17 God is immortal, invisible. 8. James 1:17 God is no variableness. For these reason my God is purely Spirit without flesh and bones.

Bill's comment about verse 24 on 10/21/2010, 3:14pm...

This scripture is key to understanding the bible.
We must worship God with spirit & truth! In order for our faith to be true to god it must be totally truthful.. remember what the apostle Paul said- Do you not know that a little leaven ferments the whole lump?
The bible speaks of babylon the great in Revelation. It was a great city dedicated to hundreds of false religious worship alacart...
What we see today in many religions is a counterfit belief system that incorporates many aspects of babylonish and Pagan teachings and philosophies of man. Such as CHRISTMAS, EASTER, THE TRINITY, HELLFIRE, IMMORTALITY OF THE SOUL....to mention a few.....All of these teachings are false or counterfeit. If you dont believe me just do your own research on all of these subjects and see for yourself....The truth will set you free!! If you really want to learn the truth I can direct you at trekker1@netzero.net

Derek's comment on 9/15/2010, 1:26am...

lorie, Jesus is speaking of the work He was to do. If you cross reference Luke 2:49, and Luke 4:4 it will give you a better understanding of what Jesus is speaking of.

Lorie's comment on 9/14/2010, 10:55pm...

wonder what jesus was talking about in verse 34

Dan Fine's comment on 6/13/2010, 12:31pm...

I appreciated the comment above from the anonymous person regarding God not being simply a spirit. He has a perfected body of flesh and bones.

Louis Wilbanks's comment on 4/29/2010, 12:08pm...

Jn. 4:15 "That I thrist not"......... It a-maze's me how long one can go looking to get something for nothing, here is a person who has a desire to have nothing once she attains something to give her something out of nothing. " Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not", Most people ( by permission ) don't appreciate the power of thrist. No I would have this thirst, because thirst gives me disire, and desire give me direction. Not all thrist is giving by the Spirit of the Father, there is a thrist this woman has ( if you get by the thought of living water ) that ask'ed her to want something for nothing. I believe not ! It's not need full for the anoited one to take a-way difficulty, but to allow me the to thrist. No rev. this time, just.... Louis wilbanks, Jacksonville, Fla.

Anonymous's comment about verse 24 on 4/28/2010, 5:09pm...

God is A spirit, therefore he is a being as we are created in his image. Human beings are a reflection of God, in order to have an image there would have to be a form or a being to reflect. God has a form He is not just simply spirit as the new versions are printing.

Louis Wilbanks's comment about verse 11 on 2/27/2010, 9:47am...

To me, the point of emotions or narture of the soul looking to Christ for comfort, instead of comfort remaindering tthat Jesus is the almighty. He our saviour is working on from above our very deep down problems. He will move to power down mighty mjght.Let us remember that He does not need us to doubt and ask how? But say, thanks.
