I love this chapter.
Leotha Wilkins's comment on 2/07/2013, 12:35pm...
As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love; This verse is awesome Jesus the son is so unselfish that he wants to share his Heavenly father with us if we abide in him and he said he and the father will abide in us, we shall have everlasting life, what a mighty God we serve. Also to add some gravy to the rice and meat; He said I have chosen you; we have not chosen him. To sum it all up in a nut shell, he said I love you as the father has loved me. As I am writing this comment it gives me such a feeling that I cannot explain. 'Oh How I love the Lord!’

This kind of love with the Spiritual implication was demonstrated literary. It is incomprehensible. It requires a continual sober reflection if we the Christians must live out our faith genuinely.

Let us abide in the Lord and we shall bear fruits. Let us also abide in the word for it does sanctify us and whatever we ask we shall receive. We are not of the world so that they can love us.

It is inexplicable, non sensical act. The love that leaves one absolutely in owe. Never understanding and going beyond any natural senses. The one love that cannot be exceeded by any other for there is no other.

first of all I thank Jesus for his word and the Holy Ghost for revealing thru the preaching of the gospel thru his preachers the revelations of what he is saying to the church, the body of Christ.Jesus tells us that he is the true vine, there must be a doctrine that is not true and his Father is the husbandman, that Holy Spirit that backs up the Word.He goes on to say that we,the born again believer can't do anything without him.We are redeemed to bear more fruit by allowing him to work in us thru his Spirit.I love what he says when he said,I call you friend and as a friend I tell you everything my Father tells me.Not only did he choose us but he also ordained us to bear fruit.Jesus died for the sins of the whole world but we must tell them and show them this Light that shimes in us is the Lord Jesus Christ

I hope I can help out alittle here. The only thing in the bible that speaks of predestnation is the predestioned existance of his church. U see, if we were all prdestined to be saved that would make everything said and done, also make us robots, also make calvery of non effect! their would be no reason for the the blood, he would have just been going through the motions and we know he wouldnt have done that. No one is predestioned to be saved or lost we make that choice, he does the redeeming. If were lost and see hell, it's because we acually did that by our own actions and willful disregard and sinful condition. Thats why we need calvery, thats why the blood still works because we r not predestioned.
Shirley's comment on 5/01/2012, 9:00am...
We are all predestined to be saved. It is us who must choose. god gave us a free will. Simple verse is John 3:16

@Pat verse 16 is saying he ordained the saved to bring forth fruit read the 10th chapter 13th verse of Romans it says That whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
B.M.DEVITT's comment on 7/04/2011, 2:26pm...
The fundamental mistake that all fail to understand is that Paul is one of the branches. His words must be put under the authority of the true vine, then his Father can remove the excess of words to give you the narrow way . Remember all of Jesus's words spoken are under commandment (John-12-), Also see what Jesus says of those who come in his name ( saying he is Christ ). THE SON OF MAN IS THE TITLE JESUS SAYS HE WILL COME IN.
JULIUS's comment on 6/17/2011, 10:20am...
The holy spirit was not present to all only Jesus had the holy spirit permanently so the comforter in verse 26 was to come who is the holy spirit to comfort us today if you accept Jesus the first thing that happens is you receive the holy spirit. Whether you know it or not the holy spirit will come into your life. As the comforter.Sorry to those that can't know this how can you know without the holy spirit only after you accept Jesus Christ s lord can you see this truth about the comforter.
JEMIMAH MWENDWA's comment on 6/17/2011, 5:11am...

Admitting that we're guilty,
Acknowledging our sin,
Then trusting in Christ's sacrifice
Will make us clean within.

Is John 15:16 saying that Jesus has already chosen those who will be saved?
Qamer's comment about verse 26 on 4/28/2011, 1:13pm...
I think Jesus is talking about another Prophet of God. Holy spirit was already there on earth according to Bible. So he is talking about Muhammad who was the only prophet who testify Jesus in the Quran.
