John Chapter 1 Comments ...

<-- Back to John chapter 1

Rev Autrey's comment on 11/14/2016, 1:38am...

When John says "In the beginning was the word. ... and the Word was God," he is talking about name recognition and not the dividing of God into three parts or three separate persons. Your name or name recognition is who you are or how you see yourself. That is to say, God sees himself as Jesus, and this is how he came to us that Christmas day to die for how sins.

Kayy's comment on 11/09/2016, 4:18pm...

There's indeed nothing that could limit us as long as we are in Christ . He has already given us power,we only need to believe and receive.Amen

ANTHONY PLANGE-ANNAN's comment on 9/20/2016, 2:13am...

I give thanks and glory to John who humbly give good accounts of the Messiah and not given credit to himself by saying I baptize you with water but he will do with the Holy Spirit.

Tracey Greene's comment on 9/16/2016, 7:56am...

I love that part where the word says: and all we have received of His fullness. Christ is full of grace and truth, and having received of His fullness is incredible, His Spirit lives on the inside of us giving us a truly wonderful power to overcome the things of the world. John makes it plain, to the point.

Verse 3 shows that not even one thing has come into existence apart from Jesus.

Susanne Chew's comment on 8/20/2016, 6:12am...

I am wondering why you don't capitalize the personal pronouns that refer to God in this text. Is there a reason for it? Thanks.

Saint's comment on 8/13/2016, 8:53am...

Thandy's comment on 6/18/2016, 6:15am...

I think John came to inform us about Jesus Christ and what He meant to us and who He is.Looking at John 1vs 1 which states that in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God.Meaning to say that every word of God we speak it can be prophecy,or praying for those that are not well we will be speaking God in that individuals life.We will be bringing light in that persons life.Furthermore, if you look at John1:14 it tasks about the word becoming flesh.Which word? That word which was mentioned in the book of John 1:2 that the word was Godd. As we speak the word, we pray it becomes flesh in us it is not dead but alive and it is going to accomplish what I will be sending it fourth to do.Likensure when God saI'd let the light and there was light.Wooh this is powerfull. As as Christian we should exercase that authority which has been given unto us by speaking the word which is flesh and alive. I can go on and on.It was nicestablished sharinget with your.

Almighty God I thank you for being you. You are such an awesome God. You are my first love.

Jude Howell's comment on 5/29/2016, 9:31am...

John, was the Apostle, that Jesus loved. He loved the others as well, but there was something special about John. In this Epistle, the difference in this Gospel and the other Gospels, are clear. Jesus has always been here. He was here during the beginning of the world. He has always been here, and will always be here, along with God the Father, and the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah!

Isaac Bonyah's comment on 4/16/2016, 7:50pm...

"All things were made through him,and without him was not anything made that was made"-v.3.Powerful.The passage means there was not even a single thing that came into existence without him.Everything proceeded from God the Father via His Word. And the Word gave life to all things. That is why Jesus is called the "word of Life" and "eternal life"-1 John 1:1-2.He himself is eternal life and gives this life to those who believe in him-John 10:28.Why should men think Jesus who is "eternal life" was given life created ??.God is a NATURE not a NAME.The Word has the very nature God.But because of His great love,he Emptied himself threw away the garment of God and took the nature of a Servant and became a Man-Phillipians 2:6.As such he became lower than the Angels Hebrews 2:9 .But because he obeyed the Father unto death,he was exalted far above all the Angels after his resurrection. The first man to get such a glorification from God.So when reading from the Bible,we must not overlook that Christ voluntarily emptied himself of his divinity and took the nature of a man and hence was a man and was even lower than the Angels. Those who claim Christ is a creature must pray for an indepth knowledge of the word of God because he is our Life.In the book of Revelation,John saw God the Father and Christ distinct from all creatures in heaven, earth, under the earth and in the sea.And the elders worship God and Christ-Revelation 5:13-14.

MockingBird's comment on 4/12/2016, 10:39am...

The Grace of God teaches us to deny ungodliness : The word of God is Truth : The law to my understanding : 5 are toward God and 5 are toward man : If I break one of those laws it is as though I have broken all in God's eyes : Not a one of us has kept the law : For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God : This is where Grace and Truth comes in . Jesus is our Passover Lamb !!!

Geri's comment on 4/11/2016, 7:01am...

I love to read and learn from the Scriptires.
If the people in Jesus' day, when He was among them, had received him as these first disciples accepted him, our world would be different today. The TRUTH will remain so no matter.how the enemy slices it.

Aliciabrown's comment on 3/31/2016, 5:11pm...

Daniel's comment on 2/27/2016, 12:06am...

This chapter gives the unveiling of the Son of God and the key to entering in to eternal salvation . The Lord is God. He is the image of the invisible God. Just as Israel rejected him He is the God of Israel, we need to receive him -not with ref to sin

Mark's comment on 1/29/2016, 8:47am...

Yes, John chapter 1 and verse 1 tells us that "In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word "WAS GOD". Verse 14 says, "And the word was made flesh" God became a man! Jesus was God and man.

Joseph's comment on 1/28/2016, 12:53pm...

Yes, Anthony Jesus was and is God made in the flesh
