Mark's comment on 9/26/2014, 10:36pm...

John 8, 42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me for I proceeded forth and came from God THAT MAKES IT CLEAR THAT GOD 'S WORD BECAME FLESH AND CAME FROM GOD neither came I of myself, THAT MAKES IT CLEAR THAT JESUS DID NOT SEND HIMSELF but he GOD sent me. JESUS HIMSELF MADE A CLEAR DISTINCTION BETWEEN THE FATHER AND HIMSELF . THE FATHER DID NOT SEND HIMSELF HE SENT JESUS TO BE SALVATION THROUGH THE CROSS . The word came out from GOD john 16, 27 , The word came forth from the FATHER john 16, 28 And the word was made flesh and come into the world john 1, 14 ,

Evangelist Chatauna Robinson's comment on 9/26/2014, 8:18am...

Clarification John the Apostle wrote this book. However, he quotes what John the Baptist said.

Evangelist Chatauna Robinson's comment on 9/25/2014, 7:53pm...

Hello Mark, If you read verses 6 thru 31 you will see it is John the Baptist that is speaking that is acknowledging the fact that he came to bare witness of that light which is Jesus Christ. If you read verse 16 you will see that it is John the Baptist the scriptures is referring to in reference to verse 31. John was not worthy of unlatching Jesus shoes. John the Baptist, once again came to bear witness of that Light, who is Jesus Christ.

Evangelist Chatauna Robinson's comment on 9/23/2014, 7:40pm...

Hello Cecil, verse one is letting you know that the Word is God manifested in the flesh. Verse 3 states that all things were made by him. Verse 10 states that he was in the world and the world was made by him. Who made the world? Genesis 1 1 "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth ". Verse 14 is what ties it all together "The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.... " Who was made flesh? Jesus Christ was made flesh and dwelt among us. So when the scripture in verse one states and the Word was God, verse 14 is letting you know who the Word was. See no man could look upon God and live therefore he clothe himself in flesh and dwelt among us. Read many answers I gave in Acts 2 concerning the oneness of God.

Dan's comment about verse 18 on 9/08/2014, 12:26am...

God is everything Jesus is the path to life and everything God is love In the bible angels are calling God man is called God the devil is called God But there is only one true God the Creator Love the word Big ups To God With LOVE and respects

Mark's comment on 9/06/2014, 7:26pm...

Jesus is not God. All power is given unto him by his father as in Matthew 28,18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. He received power only because it was given to him by his father. He did not already posses all power it was given to him.

Mark's comment on 9/06/2014, 6:55pm...

John 1,1 I think Jesus existed in word only in the beginning and became flesh when born of Mary. The word became flesh. Not God became flesh. Jesus himself explains in John 5,39 Search the scriptures for in them ye think ye have eternal life and they are they which testify of me. The word became flesh. Not God became flesh. nowhere in the bible does it say that God himself became flesh. It says the word became flesh. God with us, refers to Jesus himself testifying of his father for Jesus himself came not bearing witness of himself as in John 5,31 If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.

John's comment on 9/05/2014, 3:32pm...

Love John 1 v 1 Jesus being the word

John Perry's comment about verse 5 on 9/02/2014, 2:33am...

There is so much to be afraid of in today 's world their is so much ignorance, so much self absorption, so much hated. It is only through The Light that there is protection from the evils that can befall each and every single one of us. When in contact with darkness, with ignorance, with self absorption and especially with hatred, go to The Light it is only there that Hope lies, that Salvation rests, that Sanctuary exists, and that Love is kept. Its also where we will find Our Father, for it is there...in The Light...in Hope, in Salvation, in Santuary, and especially in Love, the He resides...God bless.

Julius Sibeko's comment on 8/22/2014, 6:06pm...

This is the fact, that the word was with God and the word was God. Everything was made by him,and without him nothing made, that was made. here is another symbol of God in Christ everything was made by him, without him no anything made that was made that made it declares that Jesus is God John 14 6 7 and Phillip asked him Lord show us the father, and Jesus replied him Phillip how long were you with me,dont you know that who so ever saw me saw the father, for me and the father are one,the father is in me,and I am in the father Prophet Esaia 9 6 said the child is born, and he shall be called everlasting father, mighty God and prince of peace wonderful counselor Philippians 2 6 it said though Jesus is God,he didnt take himself as God instead he humbled himself and appear in the form of a human and when it continues it says that every knee shall bow before him, every tongue confess that he is Lord HALLELUJAH JESUS IS GOD!!!!!!

I having the understanding that god is love.and he love me.

Mark's comment on 8/20/2014, 1:17pm...

Exodus 33 verse 20, And he said, Thou canst not see my face for there shall no man see me, and live. John 1 verse 18 No man hath seen God at any time the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. There is God the father and his name is JEHOVAH. Exodus 6 verse 3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them. Psalms 83 verse 18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth. There is JEHOVAH 's son and his name is JESUS. Matthew 1 verse 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1 verse 25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son and he called his name JESUS.

Mark's comment on 8/20/2014, 10:49am...

According to Exodus 33 verse 20 God considers himself to have a face,20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face for there shall no man see me, and live. According to Exodus 33 verse 22 God considers himself to have a hand, 22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by According to Exodus 33 verse 23, God considers himself to have back parts, 23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts but my face shall not be seen. God always had physical form prior to the arrival of his son JESUS.

James's comment on 8/20/2014, 8:24am...

The original greek manuscripts also use a lower case "g " when referring to the Word "being God ", this infers that there is a difference in the relationship between the Word and God, plus when read in context it says the Word was WITH God if they are one and the same such wording is not needed. God is Jesus ' father, Jesus is still however the means that his father will use to save us.

Zeromind's comment about verse 1 on 8/16/2014, 4:19am...

Substitute "word " to "presence " and everything will become crystal clear.

Grant's comment about verse 1 on 7/29/2014, 12:46pm...

Trinitarian Alert If your God is Jesus, and he died for us, who raised him from the state where he could do nothing? His father raised him. Gal 1 1 Why was Jesus unable to raise himself? He was dead! Eccl 9 5. Trinitairians, your God died! My God has never died.Your God doesnt know when the last hour is. by his own addmission.Mark 13 32 My God knows everything.

Rob's comment about verse 3 on 7/23/2014, 11:54pm...

Very difficult concept to grasp with our finite minds. Many commentaries state that Jesus was the Creator of all things at the beginning. This is in fact true since Jesus is God carnally. The GodHead became the Word and all things were created by Him. The Word became flesh. Bottom line, Jesus is God and created all things. God is invisible but became visible in Jesus Christ. They are one in the same as is the Holy Spirit which is part of the Godhead as well. Now the Holy Spirit God dwells among us.

Grant's comment on 7/23/2014, 7:44am...

Alert to Trinitarians Regarding Jn 1 18, any time means any time.

Christian's comment about verse 1 on 7/20/2014, 12:32pm...

the son declared the father in word physically came out from the father of eternity past and has saved only them that believe thy are one and that the son paid the price of sin the gospel of his grace.

Debra's comment about verse 18 on 7/20/2014, 7:04am...

John 1 18 tells us that no man has seen God at any time. Had people seen Jesus? Yes, thousands of people have seen Jesus, therefore Jesus can not be Almighty God, who is Jehovah. That does not take away the fact that he is divine. Having the nature of or being a deity. As the son of Almighty God, Jesus was sent forth by God. Jesus demonstrated on a small scale what he will do for all of mankind in the near future on his Father 's behalf.

Jeff Bailey's comment about verse 9 on 7/17/2014, 11:01pm...

The very existence of life itself, physical or spiritual is in Christ. All things were made by him and in Genesis he breathed the very breath of "life " into man. Only man, made in the image of God, is spoken of as having a "living soul ", thus every man has the "light " or existence. This verse only speaks to the living soul not the eternal salvation of one, otherwise it would teach that everyone will be saved, or everyone is called, and none go to Hell. Everyone will not be saved as Revelation teaches us that some are "cast into the lake of fire ".

Dr. tony's comment about verse 1 on 7/06/2014, 1:05am...

how did "word " get turned into "son "? in other words, how did "word " become another word for "jesus "? point "word " means "law " not "jesus. "
