John Chapter 1 Comments ...

<-- Back to John chapter 1

Daniel's comment on 2/27/2016, 12:06am...

This chapter gives the unveiling of the Son of God and the key to entering in to eternal salvation . The Lord is God. He is the image of the invisible God. Just as Israel rejected him He is the God of Israel, we need to receive him -not with ref to sin

Mark's comment on 1/29/2016, 8:47am...

Yes, John chapter 1 and verse 1 tells us that "In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word "WAS GOD". Verse 14 says, "And the word was made flesh" God became a man! Jesus was God and man.

Joseph's comment on 1/28/2016, 12:53pm...

Yes, Anthony Jesus was and is God made in the flesh

Anthony's comment on 1/26/2016, 6:50pm...

I read Johns 1 and I believe that "WORD" was made flesh. Are it telling me that "Jesus" was "God" in the flesh?

Patricia Gray's comment on 1/23/2016, 6:10pm...

Gwendolyn Johnson's comment on 1/23/2016, 4:32pm...

I believe the scripture is saying man don't understand what God is doing

MockingBird's comment on 1/23/2016, 9:31am...

Darkness will never overcome light. Light shows up !!! Light manifests what is sin in my our lives !Jesus Christ is the light of the world . Satan poses as a minister of light : BUT a half Truth is a LIE !!

Traivon's comment on 1/23/2016, 2:50am...

This one is a good one for everybody

Rsol's comment on 1/20/2016, 7:22pm...

Only in the book of John is John referred to as the one that Jesus loved. John had an understanding of how much he was loved by Jesus and that's probably because he heard Him pray (John 17:23). Peter professes his love for Christmas and then denies Him. John professes Christ's love for him. John gets it. Somewhere in Ephesians 3 I think it says to know this love and be established in it.

Deborah's comment on 1/19/2016, 10:19pm...

John was obedient. He did not question his mission, he believed God iand acting on God's Word, spreading the good new of a coming Saviour, prepare the way!

John Laing's comment on 1/16/2016, 3:17pm...

Commentary for John 1 The apostle and evangelist, John, seems to have been the youngest of the twelve. He was especially favoured with our Lord's regard and confidence, so as to be spoken of as the disciple whom Jesus loved.

Jeffrey's comment on 1/10/2016, 6:15am...

This is one of my favorite writings.

Ivan DeAn Cox's comment on 1/06/2016, 6:14pm...

This is a Most powerful chapter to understand As GOD to man. Tying the old and the new fulfilling the words of prophets of the Messiah and of John. Confirming who he was, where he was born and Bastian of water and Holy Ghost. Explaining why Father Son and Holy Ghost are One

Vj's comment on 11/17/2015, 10:52am...

John was hungering for more closeness to God. He was watching for and expecting Jesus .He had listened and learned from teachings from Gods Word and believed It would come to pass just like it was foretold by the true prophets .

Cynthia Scott's comment on 11/05/2015, 6:40am...

John was faithful unto God. He could have grown weary while waiting on Jesus to come; however he never gave up. He continued to pave the way for Jesus. We as Christians today should do the same. We are so quick to give up when we don't get a quick answer to our prayers. Praise God for forgiveness and his Love!

Alicia brown's comment on 10/25/2015, 10:56am...

Roslyn robinson's comment on 10/20/2015, 1:01pm...

He was a man of great faith and wisdom

Eve56's comment on 10/07/2015, 8:02pm...

John was following God commandments He was truly one of God's son's. So for that reason why some people believe in God.

Tracy's comment on 10/05/2015, 10:37am...

I like John 1 confirms the prophecy of Jesus Christ as the Messiah. Then here comes Simon who Jesus calls "Stone". Then Nathaniel Jesus says He saw him under the fig tree. My words may not be articulate but i truly believe we have been called specifically out of darkness into Light with the Father.

Juan's comment about verse 1 on 10/03/2015, 4:14pm...

Just reading these comments, I am seeing everywhere more and more how important this topic is, especially with the the emerging of the antichrist, which is nothing new but it's become increasingly more prevalent. And its so subtle that is could sound right and even plausible. As it is written in Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD and beside me there is no saviour. JESUS IS GOD AND IF HE IS NOT THEN WE HAVE NO SAVIOR! Not over looking brothers and sisters who clearly God has shown the glorious simple truth, but it is indeed a stumbling block to the intellect and human understanding, but HOLY SPIRIT leads and guides us into all truth!! Amen! There is a severe lack of revelation as to who he really is! Even among professed believes and I am convinced it is the reason for the gross compromise we see wide spread in the world and church alike! And it's heart breaking! To whom have the arm of the Lord been revealed. I hear the Lord saying in this hour to men "who do you say that I am" Father I pray the that you would pour out the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. In Jesus name! The Son who you yourself Father has said in Hebrews 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Lord I pray that all humanist thinking would find its proper place, that is in the dust! And you will glorify yourself Father in the Son who is the image of youself, the brightness of your glory as your word says in Hebrews 1:3. As Jesus spoke to the Samaritan woman at the well and he told her they worship what they don't know, Father you seek those to worship you in spirit and in truth, Father your Son whom you have given to be our righteousness is himself "the Truth" and in Him we worship you aright he is the ONLY WAY to you abba and in knowing him we know you, you are one, the glory of who you are shines in the face of Christ 2Cor 4:6 may they seek your face Lord and you grant them knowledge of who you are as Father Son And Holy Ghost and fill them with the strenghting Joy of your countenance and that they will find pleasure in the very same Son who you are well pleased in. In Jesus name. And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. 1 Timothy 3:16 KJV

Wendy's comment on 9/30/2015, 2:07pm...
