People's Bible Notes for John 8:32

Joh 8:32 And ye shall know the truth. Disciples are learners. Their object is to know the truth. The way to know the truth is to obey the truth. The truth shall make you free. The Gospel obeyed, frees--frees from the yoke of Satan, from spiritual task-masters, from fear, fills the soul with hope and the free spirit of a son who serves the Father from love.

Discussion for John 8

Vs 30 "many believed on him" Then Jesus went on to show them they didn't REALLY believe. Vs 43 "why do you not understand? Even because you cannot hear my word" Vs 47: you cannot hear them....not of God". Need to search our own hearts... do not want to be saying Lord, Lord and do not the things that he says.

I just love it when God brings forth revelation in more ways than one.I honestly beleive that God was Jesus, for he said, before Abraham was I Am,and he also told Moses to tell Pharoah, that I Am sent him.
  • BSP
Jesus was explaining that he existed in heaven before Abaraham was even born showing that he is greater than any human who has ever existed.

Maybe he is speaking to the people mentioned in verse 2.

They all left, meaning the accusers. but there were others in attendance watching this play out who would have heard Jesus's words and recorded them.
  • Timetraveler
When Jesus stooped down and was writing in the sand he was writing out the ones around him their sins in the sand and they read them and understood.
