It would seem from vs 29 that Jesus is basing his judgement on works done. Paul on the other hand says not of works so that any man should boast. James says faith and works he combines Jesus and Paul in his formula.there seems to be three different formulas to heaven

This story of the rich man that Jesus is relaying to us was during the time of Moses. He Said they have Moses and the prophet if they will not here them neither will they hear one that has come from the dead. Those that choose to reject God have always been turned into hell.
