Wesley's Notes for John 4:24

4:24 God is a Spirit - Not only remote from the body, and all the properties of it, but likewise full of all spiritual perfections, power, wisdom, love, holiness. And our worship should be suitable to his nature. We should worship him with the truly spiritual worship of faith, love, and holiness, animating all our tempers, thoughts, words, and actions.

People's Bible Notes for John 4:24

Joh 4:24 God [is] a Spirit. Rather, "God is Spirit". This declaration is fundamental. Since he is Spirit, he must receive spiritual worship, and is everywhere present.

Marriage between a man and woman is of God, however one cannot get married without a marriage license by the state (government). Marriage license were not required untill the 1800's in the us, so my belief is that the government has no business in this at all yet if one lives together without it they are considered to be living in sin. Makes no sense to me.

John? Men and women who have sex with each other, who are not married to one another, don't become married in the eyes of God. They become "sinners"! You, me or whomsoever may stop all our sins, are still unworthy, we can't get clean enough to come to Christ. Christ cleans us up and the Spirit Moves in. 2Corinthians 5:17. (Called) John 6:44. Baptized with the Holy Ghost and Fire. Matthew 3:11

Jesus 'must needs go through Samaria'; because that was the only way one could get to Galilee. And it wasn't an easy walk. But He KNEW there was a woman in Samaria that was hungry for what he had; He knew she was open to His message. Jesus knows our needs, desires - even before we do. But - that does not mean we will accept His truth when our eyes are opened.

I did not live in the days of Christ, but never the less I have unwavering faith in Him because of the love and miracles that He has preformed in my behalf and my family. I am far from perfection but His merciful hand has reached out to even me. I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and we believe that God has a perfect Glorified physical and spirit body. See Joseph Smith

The Woman was not divorced. If a woman bed down with a man or Man bed down with a woman; and have sexual relations together then they become married in spirit and body in the eyes of God. This was considered to be Adultery and that made her guilty of the same. But she would be forgiven at His death for the sins of the world, if she repented and asked for mercy, and stopped sinning to be saved.
