Wesley's Notes for John 15:26

15:26 When the Comforter is come, whom I will send from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me - The Spirit's coming, and being sent by our Lord from the Father, to testify of him, are personal characters, and plainly distinguish him from the Father and the Son; and his title as the Spirit of truth, together with his proceeding from the Father, can agree to none but a Divine person. And that he proceeds from the Son, as well as from the Father, may be fairly argued from his being called the Spirit of Christ, #1Pet 1:11|; and from his being here said to be sent by Christ from the Father, as well as sent by the Father in his name.

If you don't abide in Christ and he in you , you can do nothing! Speaking of the vine, if you are not bearing fruit or the right fruit such as the fruit of the Spirit! If you are not producing fruit in your life, The Father Will Take It Away! (Don't let 6 strong men have to take you to Church! Thanks God that I am one of the chosen ones. the fact that He says He is the true vine and we are the branches, it is a must that we abide in Him, for if we do not we will bear no fruit, we might end up dry, and a dry branch is called wood and only goes to make fire and is finished. How I wish to abide in Him all the times so that i do not dry up and become the wood (useless creature here).
