Joh 11:57 The chief priests and the Pharisees. The Sanhedrin had commanded that any man who could direct them to Jesus should bring word. The hostility that began three years before, on the Lord's first visit after his ministry began, had now fully ripened, and the "hour was at hand" (Mt 26:45).
