1:2 The same was in the beginning with God - This verse repeats and contracts into one the three points mentioned before. As if he had said, This Word, who was God, was in the beginning, and was with God.

i thnk alot of information is hidden in this statement..it seems to echo the first verse..as though to provide emphasis or even a new mystery...to God be th glory for his wisdom knows no end

When I read verse2 of John1 I fully understand that this is the SON of the most loving GOD;I belive that JEUSE was in the beginning an no one can take that away.
