Discussion for Joel 2

Joel is encouraged to Christian faith

A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. Moving away from an army of locusts to an army of fierce people covering the land, I continue on with the theme expressed in Chapter one. Contrary to popular deceptive preaching about how glorious the day of the Lord is, the day of Yahweh is one of darkness and gloom. This is not all bad. Messiah calls upon us to be the light of the world amidst darkness, Matt, 5:16 I have often heard verses 7-9 of this chapter compared to Romans 8 concerning the manifested sons of God , but this is hard to swallow especially since Messiah says that the thief cometh not, but to steal, kill, and destroy, but that he Messiah is come with life, and that more abundantly. Jn. 10:10.

Matthew 5:18 For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. All is accomplished in my life, trouble sets u up for promotion, the quantity of trouble and challenges that u encounter determine the strength of what God has set for you.
