Wesley's Notes for Job 38:7

38:7 Stars - The angels, who may well be called morning - stars, because of their excellent lustre and glory. Sons of God - The angels called the sons of God, because they had their whole being from him, and because they were made partakers of his Divine and glorious image. Shouted - Rejoiced in and blessed God for his works, whereby he intimates, that they neither did advise or any way assist him, nor dislike or censure any of his works, as Job had presumed to do.

Discussion for Job 38

verse 30: Job, being the oldest book of the Bible, and with God referring to "The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen", we have to wonder if this were not written during the time of the "Ice Age" for which we see much evidence. If the earth is indeed a young earth as the Bible indicates, the references to "cold" and "snow" etc. lends itself to that time period.
  • Believers are created by God's image and given the spirit of God,that means we are given the authority To operate like God only if we believe.Jesus said we can command the Mountain into sea that means we can also Channel our destiny despite opposition devil forces by waking up early and in prayer command our mourning

Job heard theses words, get up now thine lions like a man. If since you got so many questions I got some I want to ask you. Some of us act like we get out of High school, and we get our little degrees, and we act like no body can tell us what to do. Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth, declare if you have understanding. I would like to ask the scientist of this day since they have so much knowledge. I want to know which one of them was standing back there on the planet, looked through a telescope to watch the big boom happen. I want to know were they were standing when this world came together? Who hath laid the measure thereof. In other words who measured this thing. Who got it in 24,000 miles in circumference and made the diameter the thickness that it was. Who got the sun far enough out of the way, who measured it? When you can put 93 millions of earths inside the sun 93 million miles away. Its closer to the earth in the winter time than the summer, but why is it colder?
  • That is what Elijah did n it did not rain. He prayed again n it rained. Amen.

Amazing, it proves that the Sun controls the jet stream, hence the winds!!!

My absolute favorite book. It reminds us of Gods intense attention to us and to all the universe as everlasting and eternal. It also puts our human vanity and ego in check and teaches us humility and the absolute perfection of Gods creations.
