"Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob 's trouble but he shall be saved out of it.Jeremiah 30:7 " This whole chapter just encouraged me, I am so glad that the Lord will come to you with a word again and again just like he did Jeremiah. I am glad that even when a day is great your in a place that you 've never been before that God is still in control and he lets us know he will save us. My preacher has preached recently on how sometimes we may go through things and it have nothing to do with us, or it may be to strengthen us, sometimes we just really do not know. But we are to keep going for the Glory of the Lord because of what He has done for us, and He has already promised that we have the victory.

But every effort to heal ourselves must prove fruitless, so long as we neglect the heavenly Advocate and sanctifying Spirit. The dealings of His grace with every true convert, and every returning backslider, are the same in effect as his proceedings to the Jews. I always wondered how this applied to us, the church. I 'm thankful that this commentary pins it. The words are there not so that we can judge them, but understand that the same God deals the same with all men for He is no respecter of persons. So glad to have found this key statement in the commentary "The dealings of His grace with every true convert, and every returning backslider, are the same in effect as his proceedings to the Jews.
