I believe that the Word of God is true for God knows the ways of man therefore,He addresses the things which are inside of man so that he does not try to get over. If anybody needs help it 's man.

Ida's comment on 11/12/2014, 11:09am...

not to err in trials not to haveattitudes trials brings paitence and growth God is ready to elevate

Will Knau's comment about verse 5 on 11/05/2014, 10:51am...

If anyone lacks wisdom knowledge intelligence, just simply ask God. Any request for knowledge is a stepping stone to finding the truth of or in all knowledge. He promises here that you will not be reproached, upbraideth not chastised, 'put down '. The promise here is you will receive the knowledge that you request. He doesn 't say he 's going to help someone just because they are christian or they might be a religous leader either. This is for everyone that needs help. That is reflected in the surrounding verses.

Bill's comment about verse 21 on 10/18/2014, 12:34pm...

I believe the Holy Spirit is the engrafted implanted Word, referred to in James 1 21, receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. The phrase save your souls, in this context, does not mean to save from eternal condemnation. It means to sanctify. Thus the child of God is commanded to receive i.e, accept the engrafted Word the Holy Spirit Who teaches us the written Word and impresses upon our heart truths that we need in order to grow. In other words, He sanctifies us through the Word. Jesus prayed, Sanctify them through thy truth thy word is truth John 17 17 .

Junior's comment about verse 27 on 10/11/2014, 2:32pm...

We ought to worship God in truth and spirit by being obedient to his statues and expressing his love to others.

Skycastle-sc's comment about verse 13 on 10/08/2014, 9:32pm...

we lust after what we love or desire to have this verse is telling those who will fall into sin due to their lost and then try to attribute it to God that is not so let me just say u ate tempted by your affections and or priorities.

KokTho's comment on 10/08/2014, 8:28pm...

James ' emphasis on sanctification good works seems at odds with the widely accepted idea that salvation is by " justification alone " to the extent that Lutherans have moved the book of James to the latter sections of their Bible. So, salvation according to James is both justification and sanctification ?

Christ lover's comment on 10/06/2014, 7:54am...

By going through diverse temptations, in it God make man to become a perfect person, more faithful, well spiritually strong 1 peter 5 10 , and after you have through with it, it will give you great ability to handle your forthcoming glory which God prepare for you. and you will become a mature person that can able to stand for high responsibility.

Sandra's comment on 10/03/2014, 3:24am...

Falling into temptation is never on purpose. Your strive to please God must be intentional Where you lack wisdom you should ask God,He gives it freely. You can 't go wrong. When you fall in temptation it let 's YOU know what 's in you. Then there is no debate whether or not you are a certain way. Then you can ask God for the stability you need to please Him. Therefore the trial does make you strong in the long run. You either want to please God or you don 't! That 's where you find out whether you are double minded or not. We are imperfect but we shouldn 't be doubleminded.

Katie's comment on 9/29/2014, 1:05am...

AL...HI! A double minded man is someone who is double minded. Someone who wavers back and forth. They are uncertain and divided. What it basically means is they feel a certain way about something one day and the next day they have changed their mind about it already and never really getting around to establishing their true faith and beliefs. I sure hope that helps. You should get you a Strongs Concordance and use it to understand the bible better. It has cleared up so many things for me. Such a helpful tool for the serious bible student. You must use it in conjunction with the KJV bible though. I don 't recommend any other bible anyways! God bless!

Cassandra's comment about verse 3 on 9/28/2014, 11:11pm...

Al's comment on 9/24/2014, 6:55pm...

Verse 8 mentions a double minded man. What is a double minded man?

Charles Allen's comment about verse 22 on 9/16/2014, 5:11am...

Without any form of disputing, but entirely based on the Living Holy Word of God, all believers no matter who or what they may be, are given a clear understandable command to be doers of God 's Righteous Word and not hearers only. This means, not only believing in God and His Living Word Jesus Christ, but also as unworthy servants, serving God in deed and in truth at all times. Thus! As servants of God, we become givers and not receivers, doing His Will willingly and obediently. There are continuous warnings given by God through His Eternal Living Word, that all believers must walk in His Way daily, which is His path of Holiness and Righteousness. This means, doing good works unto all no matter the cost. For Faith without the works is dead, which confirms the truth of spiritual death. Unfortunately, there are many, many dead Christians today, who foolishly believe that just by believing in God and His Living Word is acceptable to God and that they are God 's children. They use God and His Holy Scriptures in the way they think is best, so to become the receivers and the masters, refusing the truth of being God 's givers. By serving God in Spirit, deed and truth, we become His tools in the Master 's Jesus Christ Hand, used to the benefit of His Holy Name and Kingdom. A tool never commands or questions its Master, but allows the Master to achieve a perfect outcome in what He wants to form. There are so many given scriptures pertaining to the command of be doers of the Word and not hearers only, and they all fit in to the royal command given by God unto all "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, " which includes all enemies. But as God 's Living Word does saith "By their fruits you shall know them. " Matthew 5, 6 and 7, together with Matthew 25 v 31 to 46, basically covers the whole Gospel of God, which all believers have no choice, but to understand, accept and willingly obey God 's Voice and Way at all times. There is no other way to the Kingdom of God, and God has made this extremely clear to every single one who claims to be His child.

Ugonda's comment on 9/08/2014, 11:47am...

James chapter one verse 27 Talks about Christians visiting the fatherless and widows in their affliction Now days some so called Christians wouldn 't visit you if their life depends on it.but in the bible days of old they sure did as god told them . But James told it just like it was he didn 't candy coat it for no one and I appreciate reading his chapters.

Geraldine cole's comment on 8/28/2014, 7:01am...

What I received from this is the word of God is letting us no if we obey him no good thing will he keep from us and when we need him he will be there and there is Nothing to hard for God.God childern may have set backs but he got our backs no matter what we are going threw we will win in the end

Betty Webb's comment on 8/20/2014, 7:09pm...

We are servant of God,we shall serve him by doing for others and be obience to his will, not to tempted by the things of the world, and having the faith that Lord will give me what I need not what I want and have the faith to wait on him,and keep praying

Charity Mamphiswana's comment about verse 21 on 8/02/2014, 10:42am...

So long as sin any type of offence towards God exists in one 's life, it is entirely impossible for the WORD of God to sink in and Stay in one 's heart to help the soul maintain justification and spotlessness before God.

Bolanle's comment about verse 3 on 8/01/2014, 7:30pm...

I have been through a lot and see God come through when I least expected. Now in the midst of another trial, but I 'm holding on to his promises without wavering. God is good through it all!

Anish's comment on 7/31/2014, 6:24am...

"For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways. " This word is only found in Bible written long ago. This word saith flower above grass will not be forever. But we must think of our soul which will last in result place of our faith.

Cjl's comment on 7/27/2014, 1:38am...

James is a book that speak 's directly to The heart in a very personal way. It tells You excaly what God wants you to be through him. I love that!

Kevin's comment on 7/19/2014, 12:07pm...

I liked Verna 's comment on Chapter 1 of James. I was actually sensing, and feeling the Holy Spirit convicting me of exactly what Matthew Henry commentary described, and then Verna 's comment sealed it for me. I 'm going to study the commentary for a while. Praise be to Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, amen.

Verna's comment on 7/15/2014, 6:56am...

When I allowed myself to look inside my heart the word came alive sin no long had a grip on my life and God gave me strengths to overcome many things from the past that satan had trapped me with. This was very liberating when I allowed God to shed light in the dark places of my heart and open those rooms in my heart that I had closed.

Angela's comment about verse 3 on 7/12/2014, 3:22pm...

this scripture assures me that my life and my living is not in vein. I suffer because he suffered. In that suffering I become more of him and less of myself
