recently have been more diligent bringing GOD with me all day long and will not doubt the road I am on, pure faith, knowing that where i am and where i am going is where GOD wants me to be!

Dennis's comment on 3/04/2013, 11:39pm...

I think the only place in Scripture where you can find the true meaning of the word "religion" is verse 27!

Timothy Wayne George's comment about verse 21 on 3/03/2013, 9:13pm...

The basic meaning of superfluity is an overflow of evil. The Holy Spirit is teaching us through the Apostle James, that we must be doers of the word, and not hearers only. We must put away the overflow of evil in our lives, by receiving the implanted word of God, with meekness, which is able to save our souls. Jesus said man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. As we feed on the Word of God, the Spirit of God transforms us into a child of God. If any man is in Christ Jesus, he is a new creation, the old is gone, and all things become new. II Cor. 5:17

When you are at that point where you know that it is only God that can see you through, you know for sure that it takes patience. I love this scripture!

Verse 25 is my life line!

Peggy's comment on 2/14/2013, 9:41pm...

Oh. Thank you for the word.

Winson Falia's comment on 2/13/2013, 9:26am...

A man can lead his life to the top of success, if he only follows verse 19. The verse is short but bears a significant meaning. Read it carefully once again.

Torrence's comment on 2/12/2013, 7:25am...

James 1 teaches me in spite what I am facing, to be unmovable in my faith and walk. That even without a job, or wife that I should not yield to temptation even if it shows up on my door step, I should have enough of God in me to walk away, for God will not tempt me.

Ilikelight's comment about verse 17 on 2/10/2013, 10:27pm...

Gifted to me from the faith of Buddha was a white bible and a clay flask... on it is James 1:17. Spoken was: because you love your Jesus. So the journey which followed.., brought me and some children to a view of a wonderful star upon a mountain high, an apex. Behold there was a perfect order in giving, in all things, the thinnest line is father; high and beyond comprehension. You walk in him, though seemingly separate, you never could be for you are one, I am. In these gasses formed to clay, the light of life is the Father. I’ve sat and watched in the dark of night, lighted as though it was day.

Encouraging verse meaning trial and temptations are part of life (James 1:1-3).

Clantaol(jie2x)'s comment about verse 12 on 1/13/2013, 10:28pm...

Please, I want to download King James Bible and New International Version, can I get both from this website?

Randy's comment on 1/07/2013, 6:47am...

Verse 5 was the critical verse that led a young man to ask of God, and because of it, he came to receive revelation that is spreading throughout the world. That was the beginning of the Later Days Saints (Mormon) church.

Penut's comment on 12/31/2012, 7:26pm...

Counting it all joy when you go through trials, test, and temptations. And it seems like everything has come against you and you still praise God and give him the glory in the mist of all that. That’s a blessing.

Henry Elliott's comment about verse 4 on 12/26/2012, 1:34pm...

Written on the walls of the Jewish death camp "Treblinka" were these words "Patience is man's strength."

Hi Godwell,
You can download King James Bible in PDF format from this website.
Just go further down this page, where writings are white on black background. There you will find 4 columns and the third column has one line with “Download the Bible”.
Please click on that and just follow the path.
That’s how I got mine.
God bless you.

My soul is lifted up.

Shawn's comment on 12/05/2012, 5:49am...

In my devotion this morning, I read the story of a duckling that was hatched and the first things he saw was an old dog. Naturally, the duckling figured that he must be a dog and took on the attributes and actions of the dog. Here in James, I'm seeing the importance of acting and being what you are. If you are a born again Christian, assume the role. Don't just be a hearer of the word of God, but be a doer. We as believers in Christ have to realize that as we go through our daily activities, we are the only bible that those around us read. We have to look and act like Christ. We cannot be born in Christ and act the role of Satan. We cannot be born a duck and act like a dog. We have to be a duck. It is so very important to live our testimony each day before others, so that they will see Christ through us. It is our duty and responsibility to portray Christ each and every day. Be a doer of the word and not an hearer only. God loves you. God bless.

Timothy Wayne George's comment on 11/29/2012, 9:17am...

Happy people endure temptation, and when their trial is over, they shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to all who love Him. God does not tempt us with evil, but He does test us to do good. Just as God tested Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, and when Abraham obeyed God, the ram was provided for an offering. So it is with us, as we count it all joy with the various trials that we go through, God provides the way of escape so that we can be more patient complete Christians. Therefore we must do the word of God, and not hear only. The blessing comes when we obey what God has told us to do. Helping the fatherless, widows, and keeping from being spotted by this world, we receive the salvation that is promised.

David Henry's comment on 10/29/2012, 10:01am...

Verses 2, 3 and 4, God wants us to step up to a higher spiritual plane in him through temptations. We learn God will see us through. Having Patience is relying, trusting and knowing God will see us through. Draw close to him.

Victor madara's comment about verse 12 on 10/25/2012, 10:10am...

This section of the bible is great, and easy to read and understand. I'm looking forward to get one for my classes on Sundays. It's easy to follow, a great bible to have, and use as references to teach others the true, as found in the King James Version.

Chef ab's comment on 10/01/2012, 1:13pm...

The lord wants us to have a lot of patience and he will never forsake us.
