Wesley's Notes for Isaiah 54:13

54:13 Taught - Not only outwardly by his word, but inwardly by his spirit. The peace - Inward peace arising from the clear discoveries of God's love and reconciliation to us, and wrought by the spirit of adoption, which is more abundantly given to believers under the gospel, than under the law. Outward peace, safety, and happiness.

    Verse:17
Our family found it on the back of the car in front of us so dad said to look it up. We looked it up and it has helped it with different troubles in our lives. 17:No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteo... is of me, saith the LORD.

I may be wrong, but - I think v.1 refers to the N.T. church of Acts 2. The Jews rejected Jesus (as a whole) so Jesus, through Peter, Paul, all the disciples really, went to the Gentiles who just came in droves. The Gentiles were the 'desolate'; God (Jesus) was 'married' to the Jews from time immemorial.

Thank you all. I am now taking baptism classes and my fear and anxiety have decreased a lot. My next step is asking God to baptize me with the Holy spirit, I need that power to help me fight a good fight and be a witness for Jesus.

I don't remember any verse that tells someone to baptize himself!
Jesus told John to baptize him. We are to follow Christ.
