Wesley's Notes for Isaiah 54:13

54:13 Taught - Not only outwardly by his word, but inwardly by his spirit. The peace - Inward peace arising from the clear discoveries of God's love and reconciliation to us, and wrought by the spirit of adoption, which is more abundantly given to believers under the gospel, than under the law. Outward peace, safety, and happiness.

Discussion for Isaiah 54

Verse 5: we must rejoice powerfully, for the God of all is our is the husband of our church and us. Careful fellow Christians, go out and find a true church, without a false proselytizer. God has overcome Satan on earth so use critical thought with our gospel (Isaiah) to uncover the false ones. I pray you may raise your hands and voice in one of God's churches! I love you! Kurt.

Nancha: the Lord Jesus said, that if we believe in Him, we shall be saved; and shall not be condemned with the world;and that no one is able to pluck us out of His hand;He made this covenant with us! Fear and anxiety cause torment and quench faith. We have a God greater than everything and every one else, which threatens us with harm.Baptism is a sign of a spiritual event of new life and cleansing.

Hello Nancha: I'm so glad to hear of your new life in Jesus! Yes, His commandment is for us to be baptized; and I can't think of a reason not to do that. Do you have Christian friends, or a Minister, who can baptize you? I even heard of a Brother who came from a very lost heathen place, and had no one to baptize him; so he baptized himself in his bathtub. I'm sure the Lord honored his faith!

Hi I am young in my Christian walk with God. I have never been baptized, am I still cover under His covenant? Should I get baptized? Also, I still have bad memories of fear, anxiety can verse 4 also means that my bad memories can go away?

Thank God for our heritage as servants of the Lord that no weapon that is formed or fashioned against us shall prosper and any tongue that rise against us in judgement shall be condemned. For if God is for us, who can be against us.
