49:23 Lick the dust - They shall highly reverence and honour thee. These expressions are borrowed from the practice of the eastern people, who bowed so low as to touch the ground. Ashamed - Their expectations shall not be disappointed.

The Lord will always use people as a mean to care for us, we will find favor in our leaders 's sight.
  • No matter how bad or stubborn the situation or condition we find ourselves., GOD Will surely bring us out of it and bless us.

  • Of course this verse is written to Israel, not us, the church. It is undoubtedly true - that is, that God has recorded us as among those he has saved, but we are not engraved onto the hands of God, who is a spirit.
  • This shows us how Jehovah God is constantly thinking of his loyal ones. He remembers them as if their names were engraved on his hands.
