Ben weaver's comment about verse 15 on 9/10/2011, 8:38pm...

V.15 Today's common usage of the phrases "Old & New Testament has strayed from the Bibles usage. Their true definitions are "A will or disposition, an arrangment of God with mankind," rather than the two sections of the Bible. The new testament or (covenant), is alluded to throughout the whole book, and specifically in Jere. 31:31-34. The new testament was not in effect until the death of the mediator as we see in Heb. 9:16-17. The old testament was given through Moses and was binding until the crucifiction of Jesus on the cross, (Rom. 7:4-6.) The new testament is said to be written in the hearts of believers, rather than on stone or with ink, referring to the sacred writings of the Bile (2 Cor. 3:3). However the written word is precious as a reference and guide, lest someone hear a word from the deciever. Since both old and new testament references are found throughout the Bible, it may be confusing to assume Gen. to be old testament, and Matthew thru John to be the new. Jesus taught people who were still under the law of moses until after his resurrection.

I also would like to offer warm thanks for this website. It is very useful to study this way. Our praise to God for revealing the most highest truths thru his prophets, apostles and high priests of our profession. And truly our profession has to do with God and his salvation, and I for one Profess my faith in the God of our fathers in the Desert, and the Father of our Lord, who is Christ the first born from the dead, who being full of the Holy Spirit, as witnessed by John the Baptist, who endured every temptation of Satan, the prince of the devils, and who demonstrated his power over death by resurrecting from the Dead and walking upon the earth in his glorious resurrected body for 40 days and invited Thomas to touch his wounds because of his unbelief. He it is who is the captain of my soul, and He will I follow, taking up my cross for enduring tribulation and every affiction.

About the blood shedded of our Lord Jesus Christ, literally the blood, Gentiles are excluded about the forgiveness of Sin. Gentiles forgiveness is heartily believing the son of God. Supporting verses: Mat. 9:2 & Bh. 10:43. Mostly christians denominations teaches that the blood shedded of our Lord Jesus Christ, literally is for the forgiveness of Sins. Even if no verses in the bible to support in their declarations. Even a single word you cannot read that through the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ specifically, Gentiles are included in the forgiveness of Sins. Absolutely, the forgiveness of Sin through the blood is only given to the Jews/Israel nation. Supporting verses prophesied in Psalm 130:7& 8 - literally Israel nation was redeemed. The fulfillment of the prophesy is in Heb. 9:15.
