Judy's comment on 6/21/2015, 4:25am...

V6 to me means that when we sin intentionally or unintentionally, God withdraws His grace from us for a season, so that we know we cannot do without Him. This leads to repentance and a renewed desire for His word, prayer and holy living that His holy name may once again be glorified in our lives. Woe to you whose sins go unpunished know it I not well with you. Later a recompense shall be made.

Isabella's comment about verse 14 on 6/10/2015, 2:48am...

holiness is a lifestyle which differs dramatically from our mannerof life before we were saved.

Rob's comment about verse 2 on 6/10/2015, 1:59am...

The difference in the interpretations of "author and finisher " is interesting. I found this page because it dawned on me that the writer may have meant the author and finisher of our faith as in our "Faith, " meaning the Faith of Christianity, rather than the saving faith of the individual. I 'm not completely sure what weight this might hold, because truthfully both are equally as profound, nevertheless, they encompass two entirely different ideas as well as ideals. I 'm also not sure that it could threaten the doctrine of the security of the saints or the doctrine of election, but it is one passage that is used to strengthen the positions of both aforementioned doctrines, though obviously not the only passage. Just interesting.

Lord Jesus had faith and we should follow His footsteps and run a good raise in order to win at the end.

Lillie Hall's comment on 4/19/2015, 2:33pm...

It made me feel like if we can be obedient to man than certinely we can be obedient to our heavenly Father, for he is the one who created us and will save us from Sin and All that is not Righteous.

Valerie's comment about verse 1 on 4/01/2015, 12:14pm...

To realize the most important thing we can do in our life is to make our peace with God, to also realize that the answer is in our response. It is not too late.

Lacey's comment on 2/16/2015, 5:52pm...

Judith's comment on 1/25/2015, 3:06pm...

I agree with all three of the student 's that expressed their findings regarding Hebrews Chpt,12. It is an very powerful word obviously, as it is God 's word, but i do also believe that God is telling us as his follower 's to clean-up our act or hold fast as he does clean-up, and that or those which is not found steadfast in Him, will be shaken away, and those or that which is steadfastly in him will remain.

Wendysanford's comment on 1/20/2015, 8:47am...

God Did Not Give Us The Spirit Of Fear

Bjorn's comment on 1/16/2015, 7:03am...

Hold fast to Christ with everlasting hope. Never trifle with all-knowing God because he is a consuming fire of fools. He is a loving and chastising father.

it 's great and powerful.

Janice Celestine's comment about verse 1 on 1/01/2015, 10:29pm...

Hebrews 12 compares our life to a race and we are the runner, if we want to be able to run this race that is, to endure whatever things we face in life and keep trusting God to make it to the end we have to cast off whatever is weighing us down ow whatever could weigh us down for example if you commit adultery, that is a weight and a sin, you could lose the Christian race if you hold on to that, going to church, tithing but committing adultery. Lay that aside, repent, turn away from it and keep on running the race of life.

Hugh scicluna's comment on 11/22/2014, 10:50pm...

Eaglesrock's comment on 11/21/2014, 5:54pm...

There is a whole lot of shaking going on. That which can be shaken shall be removed and that which can not be shaken shall remain. So be strong in the Lord and put on the whole armor of God so that you will be able to stand.

Morris mensah's comment about verse 14 on 10/06/2014, 11:19pm...

What then is holiness? Holiness means setting yourself apart for the lord. It comes with self feniance and conscious effort to please God. One has to suppress the flesh in an attempt to pleasing God. May God help us to be holy for without holiness no man shall see God.

Tim George's comment about verse 28 on 9/30/2014, 4:45am...

Wherefore since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace so that we can serve God acceptably with reverance and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire, and it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. So give God all the glory for what He is doing in your life always.

Lois's comment on 9/10/2014, 2:47am...

Is The Lord saying if we sin after we are saved we cannot go to heaven

Mark mamfred's comment about verse 14 on 9/02/2014, 11:23am...

holiness is the nature of GOD and GOD expects us to be like HIM in every way. The issue is how to be holy for this is a command from the days of old ' 'be holy for I am holy ' '. If one says he she has this nature, it implies that GOD imparted it into his spirit. All the vital virtues we term the nature of GOD are imparted by Him.e.x LOVE, HUMILITY,HOLINESS, RIGHTEOUSNESS etc.Father God giving this instruction to the people of old was to make them see their weaknesses 'to be holy as he is... ' or simply put, 'be holy in the same manner as I am '. This could only come from GOD. so father GOD says to be holy as he is to the world to make them see their inability to be, so they can turn to HIM in dependence as children would turn to their fathers so that it should be imputed to them. no wonder jesus says about little children to be such as belong the kingdom of GOD. That is why the apostle says to seek peace and seek holiness... we seek to find.if it were with us,why seek it then.so the apostle, writing by the SPIRIT teaches we depend solely on GOD for holiness and peace when you have found it and have it then can you give it to others. in a nutshell , ' RUN THIS RACE LOOKING UNTO HIM JESUS WHO IS THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF OUR FAITH.

Anna Kangausaru's comment on 8/27/2014, 9:47am...

Verse 1 enspires me, to know that I am surrounded with a great cloud of witnesses gives me more strength to run this race. Laying aside all the weights, the fire fighters, and the sin that easily ensnares us. Powerful word, I undestand that to run this race I need to lay aside, to ignore certain things that might pull me back. I understand that I am in a race but most importantly that I am not alone, I am surrounded. Thank you Jesus

Pansy Blackwell's comment about verse 14 on 8/25/2014, 9:06am...

Many have ceased and left this world without having holiness.

Cathy's comment about verse 2 on 8/20/2014, 11:11am...

He is our example...so we do what he did which is to look to what was at the end and not focus on the now....and look at what He got in the end? Sitting at the right hand of the almighty !!!!

Psalm141:5's comment on 8/19/2014, 8:02am...

I am wondering why verse 9 of Heb 12 is different from the KJV and the NKJV concerning "with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all in the NKJV and the KJV states "the holy place " not capitalized. these are serious differences doctrinal wise. One is weekly the other once a year.

Leondre's comment on 8/09/2014, 11:20am...
