13:14 For we have here - On earth No continuing city - All things here are but for a moment; and Jerusalem itself was just then on the point of being destroyed.

Heb 13:14 For here have we no continuing city. The temple itself, and Jerusalem the city of their race, were about to be destroyed. They were all pilgrims seeking a city as their fathers did (Heb 11:13-16). But we seek one to come. They should then go forth like their fathers.
