12:14 Follow peace with all men - This second branch of the exhortation concerns our neighbours; the third, God. And holiness - The not following after all holiness, is the direct way to fall into sin of every kind.
Heb 12:14 Follow peace with all [men]. Live peaceful lives. And holiness. Pure and sinless lives. Without which. Without a holy life no one shall be in fellowship with God. No man shall see the Lord. Realize his presence with us. See Mt 5:8

Mark Mamfred's comment on 2014-09-02 11:23:07:
holiness is the nature of GOD and GOD expects us to be like HIM in every way. The issue is how to be holy for this is a command from the days of old ' 'be holy for I am holy ' '. If one says he she has this nature, it implies that GOD imparted it into his spirit. All the vital virtues we term the nature of GOD are imparted by Him.e.x LOVE, HUMILITY,HOLINESS, RIGHTEOUSNESS etc.Father God giving this instruction to the people of old was to make them see their weaknesses 'to be holy as he is... ' or simply put, 'be holy in the same manner as I am '. This could only come from GOD. so father GOD says to be holy as he is to the world to make them see their inability to be, so they can turn to HIM in dependence as children would turn to their fathers so that it should be imputed to them. no wonder jesus says about little children to be such as belong the kingdom of GOD. That is why the apostle says to seek peace and seek holiness... we seek to find.if it were with us,why seek it then.so the apostle, writing by the SPIRIT teaches we depend solely on GOD for holiness and peace when you have found it and have it then can you give it to others. in a nutshell , ' RUN THIS RACE LOOKING UNTO HIM JESUS WHO IS THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF OUR FAITH.

Many have ceased and left this world without having holiness.
Reynolds Oppong Kyei's comment on 2014-01-12 02:52:09:
As followers of Christ, we must pursue peace among the brethren. We must make sure that we dont have anything negative against our neighbours. If we fail to love our neighbours as ourselves and claim to love God, it amounts to zero love. God said be ye holy, for I am holy. Holiness is the nature and attribute of God. Without holiness, we cannot see God.
TUKUTELA P's comment on 2013-11-13 05:43:34:
I think this is exactly what the Lord want the Chritians to be. as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy
Gene's comment on 2013-10-14 04:14:14:
I think many Pastors have been decieved into believing and teaching that someone can love God, be filled with His Spirit, and then later turn away and still walk into heaven, disregarding all the warnings, especially the one here that says without holiness, no man shall see the Lord. We are not talking works, we are talking denying your self. Is not self denial a proff of true salvation?
Thomas K Alari's comment on 2013-07-26 13:50:25:
(Hebrews 12:14) God expecte us to love our neighbours, contribute to one another's success, peace and joy. Show our neighbours the love of God and not that of men. The love of God is unconditional.
