Dear Ricky S. Here are some verses to look up, that may help you to understand the error in that teaching: Psalm 104:4;Luke 24:39;Matthew 22:30;Mark 12:25;Luke 20:34;Luke 20:35; Hebrews 2:16. In context to what all was happening in the world at the time; and the verse immediately following; it was because men who had knowledge and upbringing in the things of God, turned away from the conviction.

Yes, Cheryl: in the whole context of the sentence, and of the whole chapter; it talks about what God saw as rejecting His Spirit, and eventually causing the utter corruption of the world. Look in Strong's concordance; the word translated Giants, literally means a Bully, or Tyrant; secondarily, Giant. Now put together the whole verse: they forsook God's Spirit to become great in this world! see v3!

As it was in the days of Noah, SO SHALL IT BE in the days of the coming of the
    Son of man.

Hi Cheryl; No, there was only Noah and his family, and the animals; everyone else perished in the cataclysm. The Lord said, that many will seek to enter, and will not be able (Mt. 7:13-27).How there were giants? The Lord knows; I don't really care. There were giants again later, when the nations of the Canaanites possessed the land; and a few still remained, up to the time of David (I Samuel 17).
