People's Bible Notes for Galatians 5:1

Ga 5:1The Fruits of the Flesh and of the Spirit SUMMARY OF GALATIANS 5: To Fall Under the Law Is to Lose Christ. Circumcision Avails Nothing. but Faith Working by Love. Love the Fulfilling of the Law. The Warfare Between the Flesh and the Spirit. The Works of the Flesh. The Fruits of the Spirit. Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free. Compare Eph 6:14 2Th 2:15. This verse is connected in meaning with the last chapter, where it is shown that the gospel is freedom, but the Mosaic law is the covenant of bondage. Hence Paul bids them to cling to their freedom in Christ, and And be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Not to be brought again under the yoke by being drawn under the Jewish law. Once they had been under bondage to a heathen yoke (Ga 4:8); to accept the Jewish yoke would be a second bondage.

Comment*This chapter teaches us about standing fast in liberty, having faith in love and walking in spirit because we are not under the law we who believe in christ.

What the law could not fulfill grace and mercy did. The distinction between flesh and the spirit shows us that the two cannot walk together. I thank God we are given the power through Jesus Christ Our Lord to pull off the old man (sinful nature) and walk in the newness of Life. Many times I've missed the mark but by His love and mercy He has picked me up to start over again. "Be Encouraged".

Chapter 5 verse 1 , Just happened to be the verse of the day after my last relapse into drug addiction and gave me a feeling that the Lord was speaking to me . It gave me a renewed hope that this time I will finally walk the straight path that I long for . I hope that all who suffer addiction will see this and find a way to live in God's law and have peace in their lives.

Jesus already took our sins, pain, worries, our unrighteousness and curse by his blood HE ALREADY MADE EVERYTHING NEW WHEN HE DIED ON THE CROSS. Our Job now is to believe Jesus that He is the Son of God, Follow Jesus and Live like Jesus . Avoid the Old SIN AND MUST DO REPENTANCE. PRAISE HIM AND THANK HIM EVERYDAY for HE IS WORTHY. JESUS THE ONLY JEHOVAH THE PROVIDER, OUR PEACE AMEN

Jesus told the woman who was saved from being stoned to death, Go and sin no more...... Hebrews 10:26 is a warning to the believer. Stop sinning or you will send yourselves to hell. Those who refuse to stop sinning because they have believed the lie that grace covers them, will one day find themselves in hell for all eternity. You are as good as your last day on earth. If you are a born again Christian and die while in the sin of adultery? You cannot enter heaven. If you are a born again Christian who dies while in the sin of telling a lie? You cannot enter heaven. If you are a born again Christian who dies of an overdose or while drunk? You will not enter heaven. The Believer in Jesus Christ is to be holy even as our heavenly Father is holy. Without holiness no one will see the LORD....... Live holy and be ye separated from this world. False teachers abound. Stop listening to a wide road false Gospel and believe the Word of God over the word of men! The path is narrow. Obey God and keep His Commandments that when the day comes you will not hear Jesus say to you, "Depart from me, ye worker of iniquity, I never knew you."
