Reuben's comment about verse 10 on 7/17/2012, 2:17am...

1:10 A man - Each face is compared to what is most excellent in its kind, man excels in wisdom, man represent the anointing of Humanity: human to be used by God they must willing to be humble and excel in humanity and show kindness at all time, lions in strength and a commanding voice: the devil needs to know who's boss, the ox in patience and constancy of labor: As called by God we should be willing to get down and get our hands dirty, we should be willing to labor, the eagle in speed and high flight.

Norman's comment on 1/08/2012, 5:13pm...

it clearly states about a vision of our lord GOD in a whirlwind and in a wheel within a wheel. In the natural realm a wheel has to be perfectly balanced and in harmony to the machine its moving. In the spiritual realm we need to sure of our walk in faith.A "wheel"if out of balance needs to be corrected and harmonized back to perfection,it can't go on in a broken function like that. I would say same applies to us christians, our LORD KNOWS us .

Paul's comment on 1/04/2012, 1:12pm...

I believe this is a picture of Christ fullness, from the throne down to the wheels here on earth. Which is his church. There is great power in our savoir. The four faces are Matt, Mark, Luke and John. Each showing a different view of Christ.Matthew the lion, Mark the calf,Luke the man.John the eagle. The four beast in Rev are the same. Notice how the four beast are full of eye's within. The four gospels are the teachings of Christ to help us see ourselves.

James's comment on 12/14/2011, 3:40pm...

I think my God would not need a craft with wheels and rims to get around and that this text more than any other helps to show that aliens visited the Earth and though they were highly intellectual they were not Gods but mistaken because of man's misunderstanding of technology. Flames and lightning coming out of the bottom and the appearance of a cloud with an amber color to it. Sounds very much like a rocket ship landing to me.

Enoch Mwesigye's comment on 11/18/2011, 7:10am...

i think the four faces are about Jesus, but He graciously avails these attributes to Christians for their victorious living and execution of their God-given assignments while on this side of eternity. Glory to HIS name.

Egwu Ben Ohen's comment about verse 23 on 11/10/2011, 9:49am...

When the glory of God is upon them, the wings are active and ready to fly in unity. The glory of God enhances capacity to perform any activity.

It's wonderful to get a full understanding of God's awesomeness, strength, power and grace, it makes you feel closer to him, and you want to honor and praise him more.

Reggie's comment on 8/12/2011, 12:44pm...

Ezekiel 1 and Rev. 4 dovetail toghether, in showing forth the glory of God and His throne and kingdom. Ezk.vs 5- four living creatures, they had the likeness of a man. With each having 4 faces, man, lion,ox,and eagle. Note Rev.4 same picture vs7- lion, calf, man, and eagle.(ox in heb. means cow or bull and calf speaks of young cow or bull-- same/same; Ezek accents kind and John accents the youth of same kind) These are the four living creatures before the throne of Father God, in heaven Rev 4&5. Ezekiel fell on his face and in Rev.5 when Jesus takes the book out of the hand of Father God everyone falls on their face including these 4 holy living creatures.
This picture is awsome! How great is our God! I beleive after we fall before Him -He stands us up! Stand on your feet Ezk 2:1 And God will speak to us. Jesus said my sheep hear my voice! His Word speaks to us the 4 faces speak to us. 1. face man; mankind created in the image and likeness of God.(see Gen1;26) Jesus refered to himself most as the son of man! 2.ox or calf denotes the sacrificial blood that flowed from calvary. Lion denotes the power of God. Only Jesus could take the book and open it. He said all power in heaven and earth is given unto me.(Mt 28;18) Rev.5:5 the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David , hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. 4. Eagle; Speaks of the assending power of God! Eph.4:10 - He that desended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.
The sum is this; its all about Jesus!! The face of a man represents His humanity (And being found in fashion as a man!! Phil.2;8 2. ox or calf speaks His sacrifice for us. 3. lion speaks of His eternal power!! and 4. eagle; speaks of our assending with him into all heavenly places!!
And we are told to stand up for Him. agape-reggie---

The best way to describe Ezekiel is in the movie knowing at the end the strangers angels out of the midst'

Greg's comment on 7/18/2011, 2:29pm...

It is interesting to see that in this chapter the creatures that are on the four "men." Each symbolizing different aspects in their own right.
I have found that many people try to use this chapter to say that there are "aliens" in the Bible.
However, this is not the case. The description here is so tremendous that we can hardly fathom what Ezekiel saw; there have been attempts in the past to try and draw this picture with good effort but I doubt that we can full see the vision as Ezekiel did.

Jackie snead's comment on 11/15/2010, 10:58pm...

I first Thank God who is the head of my life. I believe no man is perfect on this earth. God is Perfect in every way shape or form. I know that Ezekiel was a just man he did what God told him to do,even though he had to go to jail and his life was threadened. He was a messanger for God. God uses us in the same way as Ezekiel today so were in same battle. So we have to read the word to bring more people to hear the good word of the Lord.

Cael Hath's comment on 9/01/2010, 3:28pm...

Peggy Chow said-
"Now that we have Christ as our Savior
and mediator how much is to be gained by focusing
on these prophecies?"

My answer is: 2 Timothy 3:16&17 "All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Christ maybe our savior, but we are asked to pick up our own crosses. He can't wipe the milk from our chins forever. If you insist on treading on a slippery slope, it is to be expected.

Also from 2Tim, Chapter Three, Verse Thirteen: "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived."

Remember too, that the book of Revelations uses the same prophetic language as Ezekiel and Isaiah. These older prophecies are essentially here to help up understand Revelations.

Sony Siregar's comment on 8/31/2010, 3:23am...

The whole Bible is about Christ, never put off certain parts of the Bible just because of "grace" saved by Christ. It doesn't mean that he died for you its ok to not follow some parts of the Bible, who said that? That's already false teachings. 1 Samuel 3:21...says the lord will reveal himself through his word. To depend on Christ and not read his word is like eating food with no nutritional value you'll get nothing. As Christ believers we should take into consideration the whole Bible and not be in the flesh to just listen to what is good to the ears.

Peggy Chrow's comment on 1/21/2010, 11:17am...

Is it because the creatures have wings that Henry
ascribes to them their angelic presence? I'm always baffled as to how theologians receive these
insights. Now that we have Christ as our Savior
and mediator how much is to be gained by focusing
on these prophecies?
