Wesley's Notes for Ephesians 6:15

6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel - Let this be always ready to direct and confirm you in every step. This part of the armour, for the feet, is needful, considering what a journey we have to go; what a race to run. Our feet must be so shod, that our footsteps slip not. To order our life and conversation aright, we are prepared by the gospel blessing, the peace and love of God ruling in the heart, #Col 3:14|,15. By this only can we tread the rough ways, surmount our difficulties, and hold out to the end.

People's Bible Notes for Ephesians 6:15

Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Not with shoes, but with the preparation to carry the gospel of peace, to be a messenger of good tidings (Isa 52:7).

This verse is a teaching for human beings and their relationship to power. It is a reminder that the true power is God's. However, in our lives we come up against power-full figures. We must relate to them protected by the knowledge that it is God's truths that we are really struggling to make real: truth, righteousness, peace, faith. The fight is against man's interpretation of power.

Ephesians 6 prepares you for the unseen forces that is presently in our world today. As humans we must stand fast and be on the alert 247 because the enemy forces can be seen and felt on a daily basis each day. We who are children of the LORD must do all that we can to continue to do his work and never give up ! Support those who are lost! Keep prayed up each day! Be Blessed! God is coming back!

Romans 13:12,put on the armour of light.verse 14 put on the Lord Jesus Christ. Isaiah 59:16-17, it is YHWH Himself that puts on the armour. As a Pastor I have always taught that Ephesians 6:13 is what Paul states in Romans 13:14, put on the Lord Jesus Christ, in Him we always have victory!

We get dressed every day. We would be in some kind of trouble with indecent exposeour !!! So as with God's armour : Unless we dress every day in His armour we are naked and cannot stand , we would be in some kind of trouble !!! The word says to put on : So we have to put it on : God is not going to put it on for us He has made the provision and we have the responsibility to do what God says !!!

Comment*Our warfare is against the wiles (methods) of the deveil (Rom 13:12,14). We cast off the works of darkness and we put on the armour of light, we put on the Lord Jesus Christ and not walk in flesh to fulfill the lusts of the body
