- Youngs Literal Bible
6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel - Let this be always ready to direct and confirm you in every step. This part of the armour, for the feet, is needful, considering what a journey we have to go; what a race to run. Our feet must be so shod, that our footsteps slip not. To order our life and conversation aright, we are prepared by the gospel blessing, the peace and love of God ruling in the heart, #Col 3:14|,15. By this only can we tread the rough ways, surmount our difficulties, and hold out to the end.
Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Not with shoes, but with the preparation to carry the gospel of peace, to be a messenger of good tidings (Isa 52:7).

@JP, I believe The word shod is purposefully used here; in the last days when peace is removed from the earth Rev. 6:4a the only peace left will be that of Christians who carry the gospel place to place. If you haven't shod your feet with the gospel of peace, the peace will be removed from you too.

why did Paul use the word shod which is a term used for shoing horses feet? Why not properly fitted or some other term? Looking forward to feed back
