Wesley's Notes for Ephesians 6:13

6:13 In the evil day - The war is perpetual; but the fight is one day less, another more, violent. The evil day is either at the approach of death, or in life; may be longer or shorter and admits of numberless varieties. And having done all, to stand - That ye may still keep on your armour, still stand upon your guard, still watch and pray; and thus ye will be enabled to endure unto the end, and stand with joy before the face of the Son of Man.

This is one of my favorite chapters in the Bible. If only we, as chiildren, were taught this over and over when we were growing up. That our parents, tho showig love and compassion, were stricter and taught us the right way to go. But so many times our parents of the 70's and 80's went the way of the world and didnt stay together or discipline us children enough. Now many of those children are drug and alcohol addicts, many in prison, many who gave up their own children to the same parents who let them get away with so much, thinking it was best because society thought so. I pray all parents love their children enough to follow this chapter, that they show them love with dicipline. Time is short- the Lord doesn't want anyone to perish, but to having everlasting life in Heaven.
  • If you do not stand up to pray, these evil forces will definetly overcome you. Even though the Lord GOD ALMIGTHY HAS de power to save u 4rm their vindictive act. But HeHas entrusted the power in u d t u shold decree it shall com to pass, another point to consider is that ore we clean because u can rebuke the fawler when u are in sin, the scripture says that if satan cast out demons it divide itself into 2.

I do not war with you : flesh and blood : If I and another are at each others throat : It is the enemy that I have yielded to : The battle that I am in is a spiritual one : Not my fellow man : The battle is against principalities , powers , rulers of darkness of this world : spiritual wickedness : Through Jesus ,I submit to Him . My Lord and my God and Heavenly Father !!!

At age nine while sitting in the pew at Bible School and asking for understanding on how to be 'saved', Christ manifested Himself to me in physical form none saw him but me and also manifested Satan to me. Satan was naked, covered in bumps, a foot tall - and was trying to hide himself beside the leg of the church pew. He tried to use his forearms to protect his eyes from what seemed to be a blinding light. And he trembled. At that time Christ spoke to me lips did not move but spoke from His mind and said, 'You need me to fight him for you.' Wow! Wow! Wow! I walked to the front, knelt at a pew, and the pastor said, 'Romans 10.9 That if thou shalt confess with they mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.' Wow! AS I grew in grace and knowledge and as I began to study the Word, I clearly knew what happened that day. Satan was subjected to a blinding Light - the glory and brightness of the Son of God - Perfection. I knew clearly that only God has power over Satan. Father Son Holy Spirit is indeed my rock, shield, deliverer, fortress, and strength.

Having Obedience to God's words and commandments are more important than Sacrifice. All Battles belongs to Christ all we need is to believe Jesus that He is our Savior and Provider of all. Thanks be to Jesus for the blood that shed for us. Amen
