3:20 Now to him - This doxology is admirably adapted to strengthen our faith, that we may not stagger at the great things the apostle has been praying for, as if they were too much for God to give, or for us to expect from him. That is able - Here is a most beautiful gradation. When he has given us exceeding, yea, abundant blessings, still we may ask for more. And he is able to do it. But we may think of more than we have asked. He is able to do this also. Yea, and above all this. Above all we ask - Above all we can think. Nay, exceedingly, abundantly above all that we can either ask or think.
Eph 3:20 Now to him. He has offered a prayer, and closes it with a doxology. According to the power that worketh in us. They knew something of the mighty working of the Spirit, and therefore of the Divine power. But God was able to do for them beyond all that they could conceive.

This could, can and will be God and God alone. What can I do for you my Lord? I surrender my life for you.

When I re read Ephesians 3 20 and then the thoughts and commentaries that the above individuals shared... my heart was over joyed and full of renewed faith for the journey. God is so good. When things look hopeless, He is our hope. His promises are yea and amen!!! He will work a work in us through us that we ourselves will be o amazed. All glory and praise belong to Him. He IS able!!!!

God can do beyond our prayers and thoughts, bt according to the power that works in us, not according to the power in us

Brothers and sisters we serve an all powerful God. No matter what our problems are God is well able to fix these. There is nothing too hard for God to do. Remember too that his ways are higher than our ways and his thoughts are higher than our thoughts.
Olabode's comment on 2014-07-16 03:48:05:
God is not a man that will lie, neither man that will promise and not fulfill it. For him to fulfill his promises according to this particular verse, it depends on me and you that is holiness .

Our desir request has never and will never move God because what we always ask is always far too small compared to what He can do which is exceedingly beyound what we think or imagine

My God is awsome
as a child i have hid in my heart a love for the first man who asked for me. But my parents said no to the offer. I went on and lived in a marriage for 32 years with abuse mentally, physically and emotionally from both spouse and relatives. MY marriage was over after 32yrs. just as i asked god to allow my yongest to turn 17 and then i would go back to ministry full time. God in his goodness was so good to me. I believed that one day God would rescue me, i would be free. Free to love who i have always loved. Him God first and then the youthful pure love as a memory. But two yrs. ago God opened the door and i spoke to the man of 32yrs. God brought him to me. Not as a lover but as a support, a friend closer than a brother, an encourager and a confidont. It feel great to love without boundaries, without carnality and more than all to prove God: " Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in
us..." it is a wonderful experince when our faith produces. for with our hearts, we belief in righteousness and with our mouth we speak the word and bring our thoughts to actions and life.
