1:7 By whom we - Who believe. Have - From the moment we believe. Redemption - From the guilt and power of sin. Through his blood - Through what he hath done and suffered for us. According to the riches of his grace - According to the abundant overflowings of his free mercy and favour.

Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood. (1) We are in bondage to sin; (2) Christ redeems us; (3) the price paid is his blood. Compare Mt 20:28 26:28 Ac 20:28 Ga 3:13 Heb 9:22 1Pe 1:19. The forgiveness of sins. Those redeemed are forgiven.

It means that Christ became the sacrificial lamb through which we are free from the slavery of sins and death.

In him we have redemption. Is talking of our position increase. We were already in Christ before our redemption came.

It is the blood of Jesus Christ that He shed to wash away all the filthiness and shame of this present world. It is only by His shed blood that the price of our atonement, the redemption could be paid.
