Discussion for Deuteronomy 6

  • Bob Gaudreau
Simply stated: 'Spread the word', in Jesus OUR Saviors Name, Amen.
  • Jacqueline
We must love, and obey God's command to enter into his Kingdom
  • Joshua
No in Deuteronomy 6:13 You shall fear the Lord your God and serve Him, and swear i.e. "obeying" by His name. Now go to Luke 4:8, and Jesus answered and said to him, Get you behind Me, satan : for it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and only Him shall you serve. Matt 4:10 leads to Deuteronomy 6:13. Matthew 5:34 is not in the same context as Deuteronomy, read Matthew 5:33-37.
  • Maxine Chisholm
Does Deuteronomy 6:13 and Matthew 5:34 contradict each other on swearing an oath?
  • Krystal for verse 5
Williams comment was inspirational. I love thy God the lord with all my might and soul. God is always there and I surrender to god every day. I give my all to God so that his will will be mine. Thank you lord for this life you have given me I am so truly blessed and grateful
