Phyllis wheeler's comment about verse 15 on 5/18/2014, 9:37am...

I total agree with Kelly, people need to stop adding on to the word of God, Jesus never said he was God, He said he was the son of man, God was his father, and he also said he was a prophet.

Greg ormsbee's comment on 5/07/2014, 2:24pm...

HI, THIS CHAPTER HELPS ME REALIZE, JESUS AN GOD ARE THE SAME.... IT IS JUST HARD UNDERSTANDING JESUS SITTING AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD, SINCE HE IS GOD...

Blessed's comment about verse 16 on 4/20/2014, 8:42am...

This scripture is radical. All things were made by GOD for GOD. Everything from the physical to the spiritual. Religions, humans, nature, storms, modern inventions, all create by GOD for GOD. Genesis says he create the universe out of void. He created man from dirt. Man was created to take care of GOD 'S creations. To worship and praise GOD. NOW we have the gospel of CHRIST, WE ARE supposed to spread the good news of the gospel. JESUS says his yoke is easy and his burden is light. We are the creation of GOD created for GOD. GOD is love! We are created for love by love. Not the love of the world but the love of GOD. I say to you LOVE AND BE LOVED.

Keith's comment about verse 11 on 4/14/2014, 2:07am...

Christ gives us the power that sustains us to stay in God 's will and please God because being anxious is the opposite of patience, grumbling is a sign of lack of longsuffering spirit and thus there is no joy hence i love Christ for His power that causes us to be joyfull in all suffering and waiting patiently through all things.

Briana's comment on 3/18/2014, 8:46am...

Samson A. Allu's comment about verse 15 on 2/25/2014, 2:16pm...

The book of colossians 1 15 have just review exactly what Jesus christ is the word first born means the first spirit translated that JESUS is GOD because christains or non christains religeous or non religeous we all witness that it s God first and he is invisible God then why the first invisible God declare to you that JESUS is me and you no still believe

Gwendolyn's comment about verse 15 on 2/22/2014, 12:43pm...

to me it means that he is perfect not good but perfect in every way the word good means superior to something else when compared to other things but the word perfect means unlike unblemished without flaw complete in the Fullness of Jehovah God incorruptible that is why in Col 1 19 it states that it pleased Jehovah to have all His fullness dwell in Him Christ not made by hands or conceived by a human but by almighty God Luke1 35 The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the Shadow of the Highest will overshadow you therefore also that Holy Spirit will be called the Son of God not sure but if Jehovah is incorruptable that which of Him must also be incorruptable pure logic if you asked me

Lucille Martin's comment about verse 26 on 1/31/2014, 7:18pm...

The mystery or secret of JESUS CHRIST was in THE FATHERS plan from the beginning of time. JESUS was made known to at his birth. JESUS is the resurrection of the death in the garden.

A great and blissful hope of joining our LORD and Saviour in HIS kingdom through HIS great love of REDEMPTION of those who asked for redemption by cleansing sins in HIS precious blood and preparing us to face boldly the powers of darkness.

John Apid's comment about verse 27 on 11/28/2013, 3:20am...

Christ in us, the hope of glory;

Glory - manifestation of the attribute/nature of God.

Therefore, "Christ in me, the hope of glory" is also to say that, "Christ in me, the hope of manifesting the attribute/nature of God".
It can be also, "Christ in me, the hope of manifesting God".

If Christ is in you, there is hope for the manifestation of God through you. Amen

One's comment on 10/24/2013, 11:29am...

Versus 9 is the versus that stands out to me: (For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;) Which reminds me that my prayers should be about: God filling us with the desire to be filled with the knowledge of his will, with the correct interpretation of it....... Definitely extremely important in this walk with God, that we don't become ministers of false doctrine, and that we don't be ignorant ourselves; that we spent the rest of our days pleasing God, or at least have more opportunity to.

Alvaro rodriguez's comment about verse 24 on 10/10/2013, 11:05am...

This may refer to the Jewish apocalyptic concept of a quota of "messianic woes" that are to be endured before the end of times (see Mt 23:29-32)

_Rosalina_Sayson_Ko_Tapay_'s comment on 9/25/2013, 5:44am...

Colossians Chapter 1 is an event where Apostles Paul and Timotheus acknowledged "THE SAINT and FAITHFUL BRETHREN" for their FAITH in Jesus and for their LOVE to all the saints at Collose (v.1-2). The said faith and love of the saint and faithful brethren were for the "HOPE" they heard in the WORD OF THE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL which came to them whereby they KNEW THE GRACE OF GOD IN TRUTH (v.3-6). This made Apostles Paul and Timotheus to continuously pray for them to be filled with "KNOWLEDGE OF GOD'S WILL" IN ALL WISDOM AND SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING that they might "WALK WORTHY" being FRUITFUL IN EVERY "GOOD" WORK and INCREASING IN THE "KNOWLEDGE OF GOD" (v.7-10). "STRENGTHEN" with all might unto ALL "PATIENCE" AND LONG "SUFFERINGS" with joyfulness, giving "THANKS UNTO THE FATHER" who made them partakers of the INHERITANCE of the "SAINTS IN LIGHT" (v.11-12) and who also "DELIVERED" them from the power of darkness and "TRANSLATED" them into the kingdom of HIS SON (v.13). It is because "IN HIS SON" (the image of the invisible God and the first born of every creature) they have "REDEMPTION" through "HIS BLOOD", even the "FORGIVENESS OF SINS" (v.14-15). "BY HIS SON AND FOR HIS SON" = "ALL THINGS ARE CREATED": in heaven, in earth, visible, invisible, thrones, dominions, principalities, and powers (v.16). "HIS SON IS BEFORE ALL THINGS", the HEAD of the body (church), the BEGINNING, and the FIRST BORN FROM THE DEAD (v.17-18). It pleased the FATHER that "IN HIS SON ALL FULLNESS DWELL" (v.19). The saint and the faithful brethren who were sometimes "ALIENATED" AND "ENEMIES" IN THEIR MIND BY "WICKED WORKS" were reconciled in the body (meaning "church" v.24) of the Son's FLESH through death to present them "HOLY", "UNBLAMEABLE", and "UNREPROVEABLE" in GOD'S sight (v.20-22). "BUT" that is "IF" they "CONTINUE" to the "faith grounded and settled" and "be not moved away from the hope of the gospel" (v.23) as they are being warned and taught in all wisdom so that they may be presented "PERFECT" in Christ Jesus (v.24-29)

Mile's comment about verse 2 on 9/23/2013, 8:02pm...

Saints and faithful brethren.

As a Christian how faithful am I? To The Lord ? To my family ? To my church? Oh God fill me with your Spirit to be a faithful man.

Mike's comment about verse 15 on 9/19/2013, 8:45am...

Jesus is the Son of Jehovah the Most High God, only true God, the almighty God, the Sovereign Lord.

Darnell Barber's comment on 8/22/2013, 7:27am...

Colossians chapter one is a fortress fortifying itself in the power of the Holy Ghost within revelation, which builds and rebuilds souls for the war to come.

Samuel's comment about verse 12 on 8/09/2013, 11:14pm...

This bible verses which i have known in a long time now have been one of my favourites. It empowers to know that we have been "...delivered from the domains of the powers of darkness and bein transferred into the kingdom of his dear son in whom we have redemption.through his blood, even the forgiveness of our sins"what a complete work of REDEMPTION!!! Glory to JEHOVAH. HALLELUYAH!!!

Kevin's comment on 8/07/2013, 6:53pm...

I find that Col.Chapt.1 vs. 16 sums up who I am in Christ Jesus. This verse keeps me in place as to my relationship with Him, knowing that I was created by Him for Him is nothing short of breathtaking.

Rev. Autrey's comment on 8/05/2013, 3:08pm...

"By him all tings consist." This is translated in the NLB, "... and he holds all creation together. This means that God, through his personality Jesus, sustains all functions, movements, and actions of his creatures. But he gives us freedom to choose our own course within the framework of this sustainability, and to see if we love him.

Let's state it this way. God (Jesus) sustains and provides all human functions. But man has freedom to determine how these functions are used. We see this all through the Bible. Man is commanded to choose between God and Satan. Then he is judged for his choices. God (Jesus) has determined that this is how he will deal with his creatures. It is out of his infinite wisdom and love for us.

This is called Free Moral Agency.
