And out ofthe ground the LORD God formed every beast ofthe field, and every fowl ofthe air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that wasthe name thereof.
That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from thecityAdam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea ofthe plain, eventhe salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho.
Then thecity was broken up, and all the men of war fled, and went forth out ofthecity by night by the way ofthe gate between the two walls, which was by the king's garden; (now the Chaldeans were by thecity round about:) and they went by the way ofthe plain.
And when he that doth flee unto one of those cities shall stand at the entering ofthe gate ofthecity, and shall declare his cause in the ears ofthe elders of that city, they shall take him into thecity unto them, and give him a place, that he may dwell among them.
And he shall dwell in that city, until he stand before the congregation for judgment, and until the death ofthe high priest that shall be in those days: then shall the slayer return, and come unto his own city, and unto his own house, unto thecity from whence he fled.
For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and thecity shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half ofthecity shall go forth into captivity, and the residue ofthe people shall not be cut off from thecity.
