Wesley's Notes for Acts 20:28

20:28 Take heed therefore - I now devolve my care upon you; first to yourselves; then to the flock over which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers - For no man, or number of men upon earth, can constitute an overseer, bishop, or any other Christian minister. To do this is the peculiar work of the Holy Ghost: to feed the Church of God - That is, the believing, loving, holy children of God; which he hath purchased - How precious is it then in his sight! with his own blood - For it is the blood of the only begotten Son of God, #1John 1:7|.

People's Bible Notes for Acts 20:28

Ac 20:28 Take heed. Here begin the special admonitions to the elders. Unto yourselves. Their own lives must be the first subject of watchfulness. No man can be so exalted that he does not need to watch and pray. To all the flock. The church, the fold of the Good Shepherd, of whom they were under-shepherds, or pastors. To feed the church. "On the sincere milk of the word, that it may grow thereby" (1Pe 2:2).

It is a blessing to bless others, and by doing so we receive a blessing. God knows our needs and he provides. My God is an on time God, although he may not be there whn I first call him, he still hears me and when he does he blesses me.

    Verse 7
My NKJV cross reference for this verse was found in Revelation 1:10, and it was mentioned there ..." the Lord's day". but the bible dictionary of this website defined the Lord's day as Sabbath. It is really confusing.

I am very blessed with this verse and I have learnt something.Giving is a source of blessings

It is very important and be blessed for us to give than to receive. Without thanksgiving to God we will not receive his blessing. This is the commandment of the Lord that needs to be obeyed."Love One Another as God loves us" Obedience to God's words are more important than prayers. Thanks to the blood of Jesus that shed for us. His blood is more than enough to give us life. Trust in God and keep thanking and praising him for he is worthy to be praised. There is no other Jehovah its only Jesus our life, our Savior and our Peace. Amen
