This chapter tells that we must trust our God all the time. When we got a problem we must seek him first. We must not seek help from foreign gods or people that practice sootsaying. If we do not put our God first he will he will be jealous and angry and he will allow distarous things to happen to us.When we trust in him he will answer by fire.

It seems Elijah appears out of nowhere, while other prophets can be traced to their tribes and heritage. There is no clear indication of his background, and makes me wonder if some books of the Bible are missing. Is it just me thinking this?
