“But the angel of the LORD said to Elijah the Tishbite, Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say unto them, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that ye go to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron?”

1:3 And say - Dost thou not cast contempt on the God of Israel, as if he were either ignorant of the event of thy disease, or unable to give thee relief; and as if Baal - zebub had more skill and power than he?

    It seems Elijah appears out of nowhere, while other prophets can be traced to their tribes and heritage. There is no clear indication of his background, and makes me wonder if some books of the Bible are missing. Is it just me thinking this?
