I just want to thank you all for this gold, may you be always blessed.
Itute Edose's comment on 12/09/2012, 7:59pm...
He is our comforter, no matter our tribulations, let it outside and comfort other. His words are sure and his promises are yea and amen.
Faustino Rocha's comment on 11/11/2012, 1:50pm...
Paul was a person who was serious when it came to the things of God. He was serious by nature, and appreciated exactly what God had done for us in redeeming us and what Jesus had given to us. His life was always in jeopardy, so he brings to the table the seriousness of life and death in for both decisions and deeds made by an individual. He rejoices at the souls that are saved that he writes and lets them know, that in everything, there are provisions to go on and to accomplish whatever God has for someone. There is nothing but resoluteness when it comes to Paul. His joy was always about those that are saved and that they would grow in Grace.
Gracesimmonds's comment on 11/01/2012, 5:06pm...
He is more than a comforter, a rock in a weary land, a shelter in a time of storm. Right now I am going through warfare, but it is good to know that with the same comfort that he has comforted me I can lay aside my problems and comfort others. God bless. Amen.
Grace's comment about verse 20 on 9/24/2012, 8:12am...
I love this verse. For me it’s an affirmation of God's love and fulfillment of His promises through Christ, it embodies His Grace and also gives us a glimpse of how limitless God is. When it mentions ALL His promises, it fills me with so much hope, joy and faith that indeed His word is true, His plans encompass all creation and His counsel is immutable... Yes and Amen in Christ Jesus...Praise His holy name.
Bro. Chris Catlin's comment about verse 3 on 7/30/2012, 8:47pm...
He is my comfort in all my tribulations; that I might learn how to comfort others.
Bevan's comment on 4/27/2012, 8:32am...
Thank you so much Grace for your comments. I have been so lost and confused but know that I must rest everthing with the Lord through Jesus. God Bless
Kourtney Osborne's comment on 3/07/2012, 4:22pm...
I pray that I can rejoice in times of suffering the way brother Paul did to start off the book to the Corinthians I just love how the WORD of GOD is written in the King James Bible truly this should give you joy in the Spirit saying Blessed be GOD,Blessed be GOD. The great and eternal Father that comforts my soul.
Kellie's comment on 3/01/2012, 2:53pm...

ANDREW SLONE's comment about verse 4 on 2/06/2012, 4:25pm...
PAUL IS A GREAT TEACHER, AND ONE WHO WAS AS CLOSE TO CHRIST AS ANY OF THE APOSTLES, ALTHOUGH, HE WAS NOT ONE OF THEM HE DID MORE, AND WROTE MORE BOOKS, OF THE NEW TESTAMEN, THAN ALL OF THE APOSTLES, WE GIVE GOD ALL THE PRAISE HONOR AND GLORY!!
Grace's comment on 11/13/2011, 8:58am...
JESUS LOVER OF MY SOUL, JESUS I WILL NEVER LET YOU GO
Jesus, lover of my soul
Jesus, I will never let You go
You've taken me from the miry clay
Set my feet upon the rock and now I know
I love You, I need You
Though my world may fall, I'll never let You go
My Saviour, my closest friend
I will worship You until the very end
I love You, I need You
Though my world may fall, I'll never let You go
My Saviour, my closest friend
I will worship You until the very end.
I woke up this morning and remembered this song and thought it might encourage some people.
This is a heart-felt longing and testimony of one who truly appreciates the Love and saving Power of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Paul in his second epistle to the Corinthians tried to explain this abundant provision God has for every one who will run to him for refuge, and trust Him for deliverance. 2Corinthians 1: 3-5 ‘Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ’
God does not promise that life will be easy. No. Instead there is an assurance of His consolation and comfort when we find ourselves in such situations at any stage during our life’s journey. You need to be close in relationship to have the benefit. There is an image of expected experience which may come useful for some other purposes in life. When we trust in any thing outside God, It is like standing or walking in mud. You can imagine the struggle and fears and the mess, or, even danger. Compare it with standing on, or even running on a rock, just as John Wesley and the writer of this song is full of exuberant worship and praise for the way God had delivered him from trusting on any other but God.
The summary of it is that Christ is our REFUGE, HOPE & PLACE OF SECURITY.
‘God is our refuge and strength; and a very present help...’ (Psalm 46:1).
Do you feel lonely, widowed, divorced, orphaned, threatened, neglected, abandoned, forsaken, rejected, or abused in any way? The same One who died on the cross for you, now says: ‘Come unto me all ye that labour, and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest’ (Matthew 11:28).
1 Peter 5: 6 ‘Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
I pray Oh Lord, in Your infinite and abundant grace and mercy, meet at the point of their needs, all who are cut up in any of lives unpleasant experiences, and all who despair or are confused. May they find HOPE in Your promises, Your steadfast love and faithfulness in Jesus’ Mighty Name…Amen.
God bless.

If you are abiding in Jesus's words( through his Fathers commandment he speaks)you will see that in Matthew -5- he states that our communication is to be only yea yea , nay nay. This is a clear example of why the words of diciples(apostles) ,servants are not above our Lord and Masters (the true vine). To remove yourself from commandment is to not" take heed" . You will be decieved!

You might look at the following chapters.
If you are interested or concerned which is common
to many that the Word spoken or Read is not clear
to you, ASK God to make His meaning known to you.
Ask God to help you understand what he wants you to know from His Word. It is very Important to Ask with a sincere heart. HE WILL answer you for He wants you to have a deeper relationship with Him.
Book of Acts 2nd chapter:
The whole chapter references this but specifically verses:
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
Mark 16:8-19
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
1 Corinthinians Chapter 14 is one of the best for gaining understanding of the gift of tongues.
22 Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying [serveth] not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.
23 If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in [those that are] unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?
24 But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or [one] unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:
25 And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on [his] face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.
26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
27 If any man speak in an [unknown] tongue, [let it be] by two, or at the most [by] three, and [that] by course; and let one interpret.
28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.
29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.

Tom,
I hope that you have found the answer to your comment. However, if not please read 1 Corin. 12 verses 1-10 this shows tongues as a gift.
Tom's comment on 11/08/2010, 9:44am...
where does it say that speaking in tongues is a gift from god it could be from the devil
Mark's comment on 9/13/2010, 1:59pm...
Liz... The Bible says that by faith we are saved. The faith that Jesus came to die, be barried, rose againg the third day, and will be back for you!
Carry... If there is no interpreter, there is no Holy Spirit. God is not a God of confusion
Carry's comment on 3/02/2010, 2:51pm...
So if you don't have an interpreter then what?
ROCK's comment on 3/01/2010, 5:41pm...
LIZ, SPEAKING IN TOUNGES IS A GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT .. BUT IT IS NOT A PRE-RECQUISITE TO BEING SAVED NOR IS IT ESSENTIAL TO YOUR SALVATION .. I CORINTIANS TELLS US THAT SPEAKING IN TOUNGES IS FOR THE INDIVIDUAL SPEAKING AND GOD ALONE .. IF THERE IS NO INTERPRETER .. YOU HAVE POSTED A REALLY GOOD 2 PART QUESTION .. I HOPE THAT THIS HELPS ..
ROCK's comment on 3/01/2010, 5:36pm...
LIZ YOU ARE SAVED ONCE YOU CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST IS THE SON OF GOD AND DIED FOR YOUR SINS TO RAISE FROM THE DEAD 3 DAYS LATER ..
Ralph's comment on 2/12/2010, 6:30pm...
What a difficult assignment Paul had, spreading the Gospel was hard and dangerous. Yet on and on Paul went, working without fatigue through the years. What a lesson for all of us present day Christians. We sure have it a lot easier, especially in the religiously free Countries.
Bless you all and Love the Lord your God..

Is exactly what i needed tonight . Pray for me brothers and sisters . I feel anxious and I know as a child of God i should worry for nothing , but I feel a spirit of oppression, ignorance and of fear spreading over America. I needed to be reminded that God is always watching over me and I needed to be reminded that God loves me no matter what and that we must to the best of our ability In God strive to stay In God and in the love which God has provided us with. Pray for me In the name of Jesus. Verse 3-4 Are what i really needed to see and to be reminded of . I believe that trials and tribulation are about to hit our country Hard. America has become no longer a friend of isreal but netural and God says He who is not with me is against me. I fear for what is to come but i know taht God will keep his promises . We jsut have to remember that it is in God's time time. To everything there is a season and a time and perpous under God. Pray for our country not in passing but truely pray. I beg you.
