Subject of the Corinthians is to prepare the saints for what is coming in the future. Paul tells us in 2 Thess 2 that Satan will claim to be God and Daniel tells us Satan comes in peace and prosperity and this chapter tells us that Satan and his faller Angels come transformed which is disguised if you look it up. So you have instead of CHRIST coming saying he is CHRIST and his locust priest.

Paul gives an account of the trials and struggles he went through for preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and he encourages the saints to remain focus on that gospel and not allow false doctrine to come in and confuse them.
  • As a "chaste virgin to Christ " Paul feared that the Corinthians would revert back to their former ways before they came into the knowledge of the truth. Prior to that time, they have been deceived just as Eve was!
