(this is a scan from the exact, authentic, original 1611 'HE' King James Bible)

1 I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that yee present your bodies a liuing sacrifice, holy, acceptable vnto God, which is your reasonable seruice.

2 And bee not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renuing of your minde, that ye may proue what is that good, that acceptable and perfect will of God.

3 For I say, through the grace giuen vnto mee, to euery man that is among you, not to thinke of himselfe more highly then hee ought to thinke, but to thinke soberly, according as God hath dealt to euery man the measure of faith.

4 For as we haue many members in one body, and all members haue not the same office:

5 So we being many are one bodie in Christ, and euery one members one of another.

6 Hauing then gifts, differing according to the grace that is giuen to vs, whether prophecie, let vs prophecie according to the proportion of faith.

7 Or ministery, let vs wait, on our ministring: or hee that teacheth, on teaching:

8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giueth, let him doe it with simplicitie: hee that ruleth, with diligence: hee that sheweth mercy, with cheerefulnesse.

9 Let loue bee without dissimulation: abhorre that which is euill, cleaue to that which is good.

10 Bee kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly loue, in honour preferring one another.

11 Not slouthfull in busines: feruent in spirit, seruing the Lord.

12 Reioycing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing instant in prayer.

13 Distributing to the necessitie of Saints; giuen to hospitalitie.

14 Blesse them which persecute you, blesse, and curse not.

15 Reioyce with them that doe reioice, and weepe with them that weepe.

16 Be of the same mind one towards another. Minde not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Bee not wise in your owne conceits.

17 Recompence to no man euill for euill. Prouide things honest in the sight of all men.

18 If it be possible, as much as lyeth in you, liue peaceably with all men.

19 Dearely beloued, auenge not your selues, but rather giue place vnto wrath: for it is written, Uengeance is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord.

20 Therefore if thine enemie hunger, feed him: if he thirst, giue him drink. For in so doing thou shalt heape coales of fire on his head.

21 Be not ouercome of euill, but ouercome euill with good.

Duncan L's Romans Chapter 12 comment on 5/07/2013, 12:43am...

This passage is all about maturity in the knowledge of the Most High GOD because the Psalmist asked in chapter 119 verse 9 of Psalms , how can young man keep his way pure? By living according to his word. Really its to live according to words amen.

Toni's Romans Chapter 12 comment on 5/05/2013, 7:52pm...

Romans chapter 12 is a profound and powerful chapter. God's word enlightens, chastens, uplifts and strengthens the people of God. Romans 12:16 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly.... Have you ever picked up the dirt from the earth? Place it in your hand and blow on it. It literally disappears in a blink of an eye. That's why we should not think highly of ourselves. We are nothing but dust. Dust we are and dust we shall return. Instead, we are to humble ourselves before God, as Christ humbled Himself and took on sinful flesh to condemn sin in the flesh. We should have Christ's spirit dwelling in us that we be able to walk in this present world without going after the world and all the things Satan is offering. Remember, he offered all the kingdoms to Jesus if He would just bow. Jesus refused. Just as we too must refuse.

Norman's Romans Chapter 12 comment on 4/23/2013, 8:00pm...

roman's 12 to me has all the tool's of the spirit to obtain, for growth in christ, almost like we are without exscuse, to say we have an exscuse, or to justify our action's, we need to put on the spirit of Christ and therefore not have any dealing's with the world, does that mean no TV or music or time with anybody that's all in the world, I think not if we then have what the spirit is called in galation self controll we are not bothered by these thing's GOD help us!

Charles dorsey's Romans Chapter 12 comment about verse 2 on 3/04/2013, 10:18pm...

Romans 12-2 is speaking of a made up mind to allow th
Power of god to take full control of their mind, body,
And inner spirit. There is also a second step to obtaining a renewed and transformed mind, body and spirit. We a a chosen. Generation, we have to allow our self to obtain god nature. We have to ask him to allow us to bear the fruits of his spirit and practice on how to deny ourselves in pur daily walk with him. Its a daily process but a process that bring results.

Lucky Agofure's Romans Chapter 12 comment about verse 1 on 3/04/2013, 2:02am...

Paul was actually talking to christians. There is the tendency that our bodies could be used to please the devil because of the corrupt world we are. There is the need for watchfullness and prayerfullness to ensure that will live the life that pleases God. A life in Christ is defferent from a life in sin. Therefore, it is very important we honor God with our bodies continously.

Samuel Martin's Romans Chapter 12 comment about verse 2 on 3/01/2013, 6:24am...

If you do not transform your mind you will never enter the kingdom of God with a worldly mindset.

BRENDA JOHNSON's Romans Chapter 12 comment on 2/18/2013, 9:10pm...

Romans 12:2, Be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, Stop! Then I read it again. What is that good? Then I asked myself what is that good? It's being acceptable to God? It's being in the perfect will of God. But we have to prove it by renewing our mind, and be in the world but not of the world. And if we can prove that, that is what is that good. Amen.

Timothy Wayne George's Romans Chapter 12 comment about verse 2 on 1/29/2013, 10:49pm...

This passage is about Christian maturity. We are not to be conformed to this world, but are to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Love not the world, or the things of this world. All that is in the world, the lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life. The world and its lust will pass away, but whoever does the will of the Father shall abide forever. So abide in Christ, for He is the vine, and we are the branches. We can only bear fruit as we allow the Holy Spirit to control us, and produce the fruits of the spirit: love, joy, meekness, self control, against such there is no law.
