1 [A Psalme of Asaph.] God standeth in the Congregation of the mightie: hee iudgeth among the gods.
2 How long will yee iudge vniustly: and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
3 Defend the poore and fatherlesse: doe iustice to the afflicted and needie.
4 Deliuer the poore and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
6 I haue said, Ye are gods: and all of you are children of the most High:
7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the Princes.
8 Arise, O God, iudge the earth: for thou shalt inherite all nations.

Peace and love of God be with you all, I must confess Psalm 82 is a great, it teaches people how God fights or will fight and protect the poor, fatherless etc. For that reason, I plead to every one to show mercy and assist anyone in need around you regardless of tribe and religion. ...Ye are gods. Psalms 82:6 means a lot to me. Wow! How amazing to realize that I'm not an ordinary human being but God. Parents begat their offspring to look like them. A monkey begets its kind. A goat same. God begets god. He that is from the Spirit is spirit. In other words, when we got born again, we’re literally like God. If we realize this truth, the devil will see you and flee. As He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17). We are His children, that's why, "ye are gods. Hallelujah!

JESUS is the "only " GOD ,the rest are little imitations of gods.i believe i am grafted into "JESUS `s"vine as a son /heir and JESUS`S SPIRIT resides in me ."THOU SHALT have no other gods before me ....JESUS LOVES US VERY MUCH!

christians are the image and likeness of GOD.So when psalms 82 refer to us as gods,i don't know what is difficult to understand.

J, Psalms 82:6 does NOT clearly state humans are gods. Verse one clearly says he stands within the congregation of the mighty. The mighty in this case are kings and rulers. Since he stands in their congregation he is addressing them and, according to your theory, they alone would be "gods". Even if humans are "gods" it is not in the same sense as God is a God. Note the difference between the usage of the capitalized and uncapitalized word "God". Elsewhere the bible clearly says humans are Gods children by adoption, not blood.

Psalms 82:6 clearly states that humans are gods. Why then do we Christians deny this and only believe that there's just ONE son of God when the bible says that we are all gods, i.e. God's children.

To judge rightly is to judge in accordance with God's standard which is His Word. We should heed the example of Solomon and ask God for wisdom in order to bring fame to His name.
