1 And it came to passe, when Iesus had finished al these sayings, hee said vnto his disciples,
4 And consulted that they might take Iesus by subtiltie, and kill him.
5 But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there bee an vproare among the people.
6 ¶ Now when Iesus was in Bethanie, in the house of Simon the leper,
8 But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?
9 For this ointment might haue bin sold for much, and giuen to the poore.
11 For ye haue the poore alwayes with you, but me ye haue not alwayes.
12 For in that she hath powred this ointment on my body, shee did it for my buriall.
14 ¶ Then one of the twelue, called Iudas Iscariot, went vnto the chiefe Priests,
16 And from that time he sought opportunitie to betray him.
19 And the disciples did, as Iesus had appointed them, and they made ready the Passeouer.
20 Now when the euen was come, he sate downe with the twelue.
21 And as they did eate, he said, Uerely I say vnto you, that one of you shal betray me.
22 And they were exceeding sorowfull, and began euery one of them to say vnto him, Lord, Is it I?
23 And he answered and said, Hee that dippeth his hand with mee in the dish, the same shall betray me.
27 And he tooke the cup, and gaue thankes, and gaue it to them, saying, Drinke ye all of it:
28 For this is my blood of the new Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sinnes.
30 And when they had sung an hymne, they went out into the mount of Oliues.
32 But after I am risen againe, I will goe before you into Galilee.
43 And he came and found them asleep againe: For their eies were heauie.
44 And he left them, and went away againe, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.
46 Rise, let vs be going: behold, he is at hand that doeth betray me.
49 And forthwith hee came to Iesus, and said, Haile master, and kissed him.
54 But how then shall the Scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?
61 And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the Temple of God, and to build it in three dayes.
66 What thinke ye? They answered and said, He is guiltie of death.
68 Saying, Prophecie vnto vs, thou Christ, who is he that smote thee?
70 But hee denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou saiest.
72 And againe hee denied with an oath, I doe not know the man.
74 Then beganne hee to curse and to sweare, saying, I know not the man. And immediatly the cocke crew.

Put up again thy sword into his place: Matthew 26:52. When the Lord tells you to put your sword into its (his) place...what will you stand in battle with? When your enemies wield their sword, and you cannot use like sword against them, will you continue in the way using the sword of the Spirit and keep righteousness, truth, and pureness?

"Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified." Jesus is the Son of God. The Son of man is EVIL which will be crucified. The power of evil will be destroyed when Jesus, as a sacrifice for mans sin, briefly becomes Sin at the moments before his death as he shouts out, "My God, my God why hast thou forsaken me?" God did not forsake Jesus his son, he forsake Evil, the Son of man. Evil/Sin is crucified on the cross. The Son of man, evil, has no power over people that accept the sacrifice of Jesus who destroyed sin on the cross for all that love God and accept the Son of God, Jesus, as savior.

Correction on Passover feast at verse17, the blood of a lamb without spot- this represents a sinless sacrifice which of course was a pre-type of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God which taketh away the sins of the world.

@Vailanka,
On verse 17- I do not see the connection with the last supper of Jesus Christ before his crucifixion and catechism;
1. The Passover feast is in remembrance of when the angel of death passed over any house with blood of a lamb spot on the door posts when God sent his angel to kill all the first born of the Egyptians;
2. Days of unleavened bread lasted 7 days and Jews were not allowed to eat anything that contained leaven (yeast) which represents sin in the bible;
3. The feast of first fruits at this time represents the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
4. The Jews recognize 7 different feasts.
5. Verse 17 is what we born again Christians commonly recognize as the last supper or the Lord’s Supper (I Corinthians 11:23-30). Catechism is not something Christians usually participate in. Catechism is simply classes that a certain religious denomination offers their members which is a time of Questions and Answers, and preparing members of that religion to have a better understanding of that religion and how to perform certain functions within that religious denomination. Christians are encouraged to study the bible and take classes, but do not call it catechism.

Verse 39, to get the correct interpretation on this verse one must understand Matthew 27:46. Jesus has never been separated from God the father before, and Jesus knew that at the time of his crucifixion that God the father must not look upon sin and when all the sins of all men was placed on Jesus on the cross, first time ever that Jesus and God the father were separated by sin. This is why Jesus prayed in the garden that if it be possible let this cup pass from me.
