22:38 Here are two swords - Many of Galilee carried them when they travelled, to defend themselves against robbers and assassins, who much infested their roads. But did the apostles need to seek such defence? And he said; It is enough - I did not mean literally, that every one of you must have a sword.

 


Mark's comment on 2011-01-20 11:06:02:

This is a tough verse. I was at a firearms training and a fellow student cited this verse as Jesus stating it is OK to carry a concealed weapon. I disagreed with him. A short sword of the time was not a concealable weapon. And I don\'t believe that was what Jesus was saying at all.
