(this is a scan from the exact, authentic, original 1611 'HE' King James Bible)

1 Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,

2 Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should man ful of talke be iustified?

3 Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?

4 For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am cleane in thine eyes.

5 But, O that God would speake, and open his lippes against thee,

6 And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisedome, that they are double to that which is: know therefore that God exacteth of thee lesse then thine iniquitie deserueth.

7 Canst thou by searching finde out God? canst thou finde out the Almightie vnto perfection?

8 It is as high as heauen, what canst thou doe? deeper then hell, what canst thou know?

9 The measure therof is longer then the earth, and broader then the sea.

10 If he cut off, and shut vp, or gather together, then who can hinder him?

11 For, he knoweth vaine men: hee seeth wickednesse also, will he not then consider it?

12 For vaine man would be wise; though man be borne like a wilde asses coult.

13 If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him:

14 If iniquitie be in thine hand, put it farre away, and let not wickednes dwell in thy tabernacles.

15 For then shalt thou lift vp thy face without spot, yea thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not feare:

16 Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that passe away:

17 And thine age shalbe clearer then the noone day; thou shalt shine foorth, thou shalt be as the morning.

18 And thou shalt be secure because there is hope, yea thou shalt digge about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety.

19 Also thou shalt lye downe, and none shall make thee afraid; yea many shall make suite vnto thee.

20 But the eyes of the wicked shall faile, and they shall not escape, and their hope shall be as the giuing vp of the ghost.

Stan Almendro's Job Chapter 11 comment on 11/11/2012, 10:47pm...

Let us not forget where the Trials of Job started. It was at the challenge of Satan. He saw that Job was BLESSED and that Job lived a life that honored God. We need to deny the focus of the PROSPERITY Cult that wants to make people feel and believe that when tested (By God through whatever cause that initiated the test) they have done something wrong. It is HE at work in us to WILL and to DO at HIS good pleasure. We need to know that our times are in His hands and that HE will never test us beyond what we can bear BUT will make a way of escape by HELPING us to bear it. It can be that God has confidence in the work HE has done in a life and NOTHING can destroy that work as we see in Job. He said Though this thing destroys me yet will I serve Him.

Thabo's Job Chapter 11 comment on 10/27/2012, 3:41pm...

This is my best verse in the whole of the Bible thus far, it teaches us that when we leave all our sins behind we will become invincible.

Q powers's Job Chapter 11 comment on 9/16/2012, 7:18am...

WHAT I GET FROM THIS IS THAT NONE IS WORTHTY IN FRONT OF GOD. WE MUST STAY HUMBLE AND PRAY, AND KNOW THAT GOD WILL ANSWER US IN HIS WAY & TIME. IT"S HARD WHEN TROUBLE COMES, BUT FAITH MUST SET IN.

Angel's Job Chapter 11 comment on 1/26/2011, 12:31am...

Many people are quick to judge others who are going through trials by saying they have done something sinful to deserve their folly. While sinful deeds often do bring a fall, sometimes we have to endure things so that God can be glorified through us. This was the case with Job, he persevered through his trials. It huts when others judge, but that too is part of our trials. We don't just learn from them, so do those closest to us.

Richard Law's Job Chapter 11 comment on 2/17/2010, 2:43am...

Zophar's speech shows that he is not listening to Job and is inattentive to Job's real situation. The other false comforters have offered Job the empty plattitudes of faith, only implying that Job deserves what he suffers; Zophar takes the next step and rebukes Job for lying about his innocence. Even though the comforters spout the orthodoxy of the Old Testament, they are empty vessels.
