2Looking vnto Iesus the Authour and finisher of our faith, who for the ioy that was set before him, endured the crosse, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3For consider him that indured such contradiction of sinners against himselfe, lest ye be wearied and faint in your mindes. 4Yee haue not yet resisted vnto blood, striuing against sinne. 5And ye haue forgotten the exhortation which speaketh vnto you as vnto children, My sonne, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him. 6For whome the Lord loueth hee chasteneth, and scourgeth euery sonne whom he receiueth.
