6:4 There were giants, and men of renown - They carried all before them, 1. With their great bulk, as the sons of Anak, #Nu 13:33|, and, 2. With their great name, as the king of Assyria, #Isa 37:11|. Thus armed, they daringly insulted the rights of all their neighbours, and trampled upon all that is just and sacred.

Listen, when it talks about Giants in the earth in the bible it 's talking about demons not angels because I guess some may not realize but Hell is in the earth and also are demons and guess what some demons are very big.

I believe the fallen angels were examples of greak mythologey gods, as sons of god pridefull and rebellious hateing man already and taking advantage of the powers and strentgh of angles that are 9 feet tall

I truly believe in the word of God as it is written!! If one is truly saved by the grace of our Lord and Savior JESUS Christ all word that is inspired of God will be revealed in a timely manner to that individual without some else\'s interpretation through the Comforter who is the Holy Ghost! These things that occurred many a year ago shows that God perfection and his absolute as the supreme ruler of the universe that he spoke into existence. also, his determination to preserve the purity of the jewish linage of Christ maternal side(earthy)by eradicating the fallen ones goal of contaminating his jewish heritage .

Am I wrong in thinking that Angels can not reproduce. However, is it being said that when they were kicked out of heaven, did they regain this ability to reproduce?

If you look up the word \"Giants\" it means brute or tyrant. Before & after this scripture God talks about the nature of man & what he thinks about him, so maybe giant could mean someone that wants power & control over others.

It\'s me again, I meant the kingship descended upon earth before the flood and after!

Gilbert's comment on 2011-11-07 21:34:05:

In Genesis chapter 1-Beasts of the earth(Dinosaurs)and in chapter 2-beasts of the field(mammals of today). In Genesis 6 vs 4; were the fallen angels who fornicated with the daughters of men and procreated GIANTS.In the Septuagint Bible it reads, and they bore them children, these were the giants of old, men of renown. In the Sumerian King\'s list, the kingship ascended before the flood and after, therfore twice did fallen angels descend upon earth and commited the same sin which equalled the Rephaim after the flood, but, in the book of Enoch, towards the last chapter, it reads that Noah\'s posterity would produce giants of carnel flesh which equalled the caananites, the amorites etc....etc....

I like Butch\'s statement about the use of the word renown, if taken by the meaning of the word it leaves the impression that they/are good which they were not it seems.

butch's comment on 2011-01-27 07:18:34:

this passage speaks of the giants born of the unholy union of fallen angels and human women. \"in the earth in those days, and after that\" means that before the Flood, these beings were rampant on the earth. after the Flood destroyed them however, it sounds like there was ANOTHER incursion to earth by fallen angels and again they sired these evil deformed giants that were an abomination in the eyes of God. \"mighty men which were of old, men of reknown\" is NOT a compliment. its meant to convey the giants strength and their pride in their strength.

ralph, dinosaurs are mentioned in other passages (leviathan and behemoth) in the Bible but this passage is about the Nephilim, the fallen ones, that the fallen angels sired.

response to Brian C Lee; For the latest in God\'s solution for people in trouble, I recommend reading in the New Testament. For starters, maybe John 3, Romans 8, & 1 Jn 1:9. These promises are sure for anyone who yields to Jesus; trusting in Him. The wonderful plan is fortold throughout the Old Testament, but harder to understand. May our Lord direct you to his goodness. love ya.

RALPH M. WATERS's comment on 2010-12-31 08:45:54:

Once again, dealing with a twenty four hour day. This passage allow room to understand that DINOSAURS existed. (There were giants in the earth in those days;)and men of renown. A separation between DINOSAURS AND ANGELS.
Therefore, this shows the times of the Prehistoric Age.
