In this verse: GOD gave man everything that has the breath of LIFE. \"BREATH OF LIFE\", This takes you to man not having complete control over EVERYTHING THAT GOD has created. \"THE FISH\" - do not have the breath of LIFE.

\"Life\" also translates to Soul`s. When I read it I think,maybe the far east. The people in Vietnam almost lived on the water and raised the fish.
