Wesley's Notes for Exodus 22:29

22:29 The first - born of thy sons shalt thou give unto me - And much more reason have we to give ourselves and all we have to God, who spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all. The first ripe of their corn they must not delay to offer; there is danger if we delay our duty, lest we wholly omit it; and by slipping the first opportunity in expectation of another, we suffer Satan to cheat us of all our time.

  • "My people perish for lack of knowledge". Get wisdom...children!
  • Newremix for verse 18
Sometimes this is required for the peskiest of witches, even through prayer fasting God WIlls us to take a stand against evil, with us at his side as we do it. David didn 't pray away goliath, samson didnt have a tea party with the heathens obstructing him and his life due to his own families deception. Jesus also said, "I came to sow discord you " . Anyone who says otherwise hasn 't dealt with true heavy witchcraft, which can, and does, kill people daily. Jesus was the martyr lamb of God so that we may LIVE, just make sure to ask God for guidance first on the matter, and only as an ABSOLUTE LAST RESORT OF THE KINGDOMS OF EVIL IMPENDING ON YOUR VERY LIFE PRAYER WILL HANDLE THE REST. Even the bible says if a thief get struck a fatal blow, no blood shall be on his hands....praise jesus

Snow, the law is very hard for us who are sinners but it is perfect because it is the essence of almighty God, Gat. 3:24 says, "Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Rom. 3:20 says, "therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin ". John 1:17 says, "For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ ". Thank God for our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. God bless us all and in the understanding of his Word. Glory be to Jehovah in the highest through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen!

After 40 days and 40 nights of intensified sweat filled fasting, the understanding of this text was opened to my visions. God gave the commandment to his people and thought how to go about the killing -with prayer of goodwill and kind gesture towards them....thereby we are heaping coals of fire on their heads and that will kill them fast

It is a pity so called Christians do what Christ would not do.
  • I 've read every comment on this page, most of them have brought tears to my eyes and a stabbing pain in my heart. These are the words written from long ago, a book of faith that is believed by many, yet I hadn 't realized how many feel so strongly about a phrase such as this in such a modern age.
