There are generational sins that the children can pick up from their parents and get into deeper problems , such As addiction, drinking, anger immorality etc.unless the parents repent or the children forgive their parents and turn away from such sins, then Gods punishment will continue from generation to generation. The good news is that ,God is merciful and will forgive and grant a new beginning if we turn to Him and repent .He will wipe away the curse of sin and will remember no more .
