5:27 That he might present it - Even in this world. To himself - As his spouse. A glorious church - All glorious within. Not having spot - Of impurity from any sin. Or wrinkle - Of deformity from any decay.

\"That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.\" (Ephesians 5:27) Have you ever felt a barely present irritation on your skin, and checking it out with a gentle scratch of a fingernail, find an almost invisible seed tick? Such a tiny thing, but would you want to leave it attached to your skin? Most, I would suppose, would want to remove it. Jesus desires to bring His church (His body) to be holy and without blemish. He desires to present to himself a glorious church not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing.
