5 And now send men to Ioppa, and call for one Simon, whose sirname is Peter.
8 And when he had declared all these things vnto them, he sent them to Ioppa.
10 And he became very hungry, and would haue eaten: But while they made ready, he fell into a traunce,
13 And there came a voyce to him, Rise, Peter: kill, and eate.
14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I haue neuer eaten any thing that is common or vncleane.
16 This was done thrise: & the vessel was receiued vp againe into heauen.
18 And called, and asked whether Simon, which was sirnamed Peter, were lodged there.
19 ¶ While Peter thought on the vision, the spirit said vnto him, Behold, three men seeke thee.
20 Arise therefore, and get thee downe, and goe with them, doubting nothing: for I haue sent them.
25 And as Peter was comming in, Cornelius met him, and fell downe at his feete, and worshipped him.
26 But Peter tooke him vp, saying, Stand vp, I my selfe also am a man.
27 And as he talked with him, hee went in, and found many that were come together.
34 ¶ Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a trueth I perceiue þt God is no respecter of persons:
35 But in euery nation, he that feareth him, and worketh righteousnesse, is accepted with him.
40 Him God raised vp the third day, and shewed him openly,
44 ¶ While Peter yet spake these words, the holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
46 For they heard them speake with tongues, and magnifie God. Then answered Peter,

Mathew 28,18-19
Jesus himself spoke and gave the instructions
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
What am I to withstand God?
I dare not call Jesus a liar and say it is not so,

AND, WE ARE THE GENTILES
Mark's Acts Chapter 10 comment on 5/16/2013, 4:24am...
The vision has nothing to do with eating,
It is about the baptism of the Holy Ghost being given to the Gentiles, (if I may add, they were baptized with the Holy Ghost before they were baptized with water) read verses 44,45,46 then Peter says be baptized with water, read further on and Peter explains his vision and that is has to do with the baptism of the Holy Ghost when he returns,
Stephen's Acts Chapter 10 comment about verse 35 on 4/08/2013, 6:24pm...
I've been pondering this aspect of salvation: what of those people who have never heard the gospel. Romans 1 seems to be saying that the gospel of Creation and Conscience is sufficient only for condemnation.
This position could be substantiated in this Scripture as well because Cornelius was in intimate contact with the Jewish synagogue in his area where he would have been introduced to the One True God and could even have been a prosylite.

God has changed laws but not his principles or his purpose. He hasn't changed, we have.
Kathleen's Acts Chapter 10 comment on 11/29/2012, 7:42pm...
Where exactly in this chapter does God contradict his ordering of man and the animals and declare that unclean animals are clean to eat? I don't see it here, nor do I find it in the Greek. If he is God and doesn't change, how can he go back on his original command? (Hebrews 13:8). And what did Jesus do? He never ate anything unclean and never broke a single commandment set forth by God in the Old Testament. Are we not to be like Jesus? If he had, he would have been sinning and would have been unacceptable as a sacrifice for our sins. Sounds like you're making this up or just regurgitating what you've been taught, perhaps colored by a very anti-Semitic church history. Search it out for yourself!! "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2 Timothy 2:15).
Manvilla Kemp's Acts Chapter 10 comment about verse 12 on 10/21/2012, 12:07am...
This vision had nothing to do with meat. It had to do with people. God doesn’t go back from His word or else He won’t be God. Read Acts 10:28 that’s what this is about, how we look at others. God doesn’t and is no respecter of person.
