(this is a scan from the exact, authentic, original 1611 'HE' King James Bible)

1 For we know, that if our earthly house of this Tabernacle were dissolued, wee haue a building of God, an house not made with hand, eternall in the heauens.

2 For in this we grone earnestly, desiring to be clothed vpō with our house, which is from heauen.

3 If so be that being clothed we shal not be found naked.

4 For, we that are in this tabernacle, doe grone, being burdened, not for that wee would bee vnclothed, but clothed vpon, that mortalitie might bee swallowed vp of life.

5 Now he þt hath wrought vs for the selfe same thing, is God, who also hath giuen vnto vs the earnest of the spirit.

6 Therefore we are alwayes confident, knowing that whilest wee are at home in the body, wee are absent from the Lord.

7 (For we walke by faith, not by sight.)

8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

9 Wherefore we labour, that whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

10 For we must all appeare before the iudgement seat of Christ, that euery one may receiue the things done in his body, according to that hee hath done, whether it be good or bad.

11 Knowing therefore the terrour of the Lord, we perswade men; but we are made manifest vnto God, & I trust also, are made manifest in your consciences.

12 For we commend not our selues againe vnto you, but giue you occasion to glory on our behalfe, that you may haue somewhat to answere them, which glory in appearance, and not in heart.

13 For whether wee bee besides our selues, it is to God: or whether we bee sober, it is for your cause.

14 For the loue of Christ constreineth vs, because wee thus iudge: that if one died for all, then were all dead:

15 And that he died for all, that they which liue, should not hencefoorth liue vnto themselues, but vnto him which died for them, and rose againe.

16 Wherefore hencefoorth know we no man, after the flesh: yea, though we haue knowen Christ after the flesh, yet now hencefoorth knowe wee him no more.

17 Therfore if any man be in Christ, hee is a new creature: old things are past away, behold, al things are become new.

18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled vs to himselfe by Iesus Christ, and hath giuen to vs the ministery of reconciliation,

19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world vnto himselfe, not imputing their trespasses vnto them, and hath committed vnto vs the word of reconciliation.

20 Now then we are Ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by vs; we pray you in Christs stead, that be ye reconciled to God.

21 For he hath made him to be sinne for vs, who knewe no sinne, that wee might bee made the righteousnesse of God in him.

Rick's 2 Corinthians Chapter 5 comment on 5/18/2013, 3:24am...

Paul continues to express his vindication in terms of a willingness to stand in judgment by the Lord Jesus himself as he (Jesus)is his true master and judge not the false teachers that had invaded the church and only answered to each other rather than the Lord. Paul reinforces his willingness to labor knowing that despite having the eternal and legal forgiveness of God through the life of the Lord Jesus, he still was subject to the continuing judgment of Christ for daily discipleship. Therefore we must all walk by His grace all sufficient with the Holy Spirit to guide us and keep us close to Him.

I believe if I am looking into the face of death, I will be brave instead of afraid, knowing God will be there, on the other side, waiting for my soul.

Ed's 2 Corinthians Chapter 5 comment about verse 17 on 4/30/2013, 12:50pm...

I have noticed most Christians have no trouble believing (trusting in, relying on or adhering to) all the miracles that God performed through Christ including raising Lazarus after being dead for three days and rotting, healing the blind, lame and sick. No problem believing that the Holy Spirit created the entire universe out of nothing just to name so few. But have difficulty trusting in relying on and adhering to (believing) that God can make any person that comes to him with Godly sorrow and a repentant heart could be supernatural/spiritual made a new creation with all the rights and privileges as Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior.
Our adversary hides or steals the truth that all true disciples of Christ's are totally cleansed, given a new heart of flesh, new spirit, inputed with Christ's righteousness and if that was not enough given God's agape nature and authority over Satan via the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Talk about gifts that we did not earn or deserve!

Bongiwe's 2 Corinthians Chapter 5 comment on 4/19/2013, 6:56am...

We hope in the Lord, trust God for the things that we do not see..because it is impossible to exercise faith without hope. Where there is hope, faith is innevitable. So we walk in faith (believing in the things we do not see) and not by sight (believing only once you see something). God is timeless and is faithful to those who believe and have faith in Him and the unknown. All things are possible with God, only if you believe and have faith and always pray for God's grace that your faith doesn't fail you...Bind the spirit of doubt at all times..AMEN!!!
