Wesley's Notes for 2 Corinthians 5:17

5:17 Therefore if any one be in Christ - A true believer in him. There is a new creation - Only the power that makes a world can make a Christian. And when he is so created, the old things are passed away - Of their own accord, even as snow in spring. Behold - The present, visible, undeniable change! All things are become new - He has new life, new senses, new faculties, new affections, new appetites, new ideas and conceptions. His whole tenor of action and conversation is new, and he lives, as it were, in a new world. God, men, the whole creation, heaven, earth, and all therein, appear in a new light, and stand related to him in a new manner, since he was created anew in Christ Jesus.

People's Bible Notes for 2 Corinthians 5:17

2Co 5:17 If any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature. Because, crucified with Christ, buried into his death, we have died with Christ, and risen to walk in a new life (Ro 6:6,4,14). Born anew, we are new creatures who must live a new life. Old things are passed away. The old life ended when we died and were buried. All things have become new. The affections, the motives, the thoughts, the hopes, the whole life.

I am in Christ and I am a new creation in Jesus Christ : I have been a child of God for several years now and I am becoming in the process of a new creation each and every day . This is a continual daily walk and renewing : Even though my body and mind didn't get saved : I must continue to feed on Gods word daily and in fellowship with Him : Yes : starve the flesh : Feed the spirit within : Praise God !! Old things are passing away daily and all things are becoming new every day !!

Jesus came down by the power of God. He shed his blood to us so that we will all have life in abundance and we are saved by his Grace. He made everything new in our life as our sins are washed by his blood. We are also healed by his stripes and we are set free from the hands of the defeated devil. Our job now is to accept Jesus and love him and obey his words. For he is the only Jehovah our life.
