5:18 Yet this gives us no encouragement to sin: on the contrary, it is an indisputable truth, he that is born of God - That sees and loves God. Sinneth not - So long as that loving faith abides in him, he neither speaks nor does anything which God hath forbidden. He keepeth himself - Watching unto prayer. And, while he does this, the wicked one toucheth him not - So as to hurt him.

1 John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
\"That which is born of God sinneth Not\" Refers to the Spirit Man not the Flesh. The flesh has not been born again. The Spirit man has. That\'s why Paul writes \"I die daily.\" The Spirit man and the Flesh are at war. Paul said \"in my flesh abideth no goog thing.\" \"I am crucified with Christ.\" Just because I sin then does not mean I am not saved. Paul said it this way \"Till Christ be form in you. We are becoming more like Him every day. So quite beating yourself up when you sin and think your not saved. Confess it to God and get back into fellowship with God. NOt realtionship, but fellowship.

This passage lets the believer know that we are to arrive at the point were we are not sinning and that the Holy spirit gives us that power all we have to do is believe and want it
