Wesley's Notes for 1 Timothy 1:9

1:9 The law doth not lie against a righteous man - Doth not strike or condemn him. But against the lawless and disobedient - They who despise the authority of the lawgiver violate the first commandment, which is the foundation of the law, and the ground of all obedience. Against the ungodly and sinners - Who break the second commandment, worshipping idols, or not worshipping the true God. The unholy and profane - Who break the third commandment by taking his name in vain.

People's Bible Notes for 1 Timothy 1:9

1Ti 1:9 The law is not made for a righteous man. "Law" (there is no article) is not given to justify men, but to restrain, condemn, and punish the wicked. A long catalogue of sins, common in the Gentile world, are given, which were all condemned by the law.

Jesus always considered a woman to preach the good news . John 4.7 He even spoke the Samaritan woman on the will and ask a water to drink. Jesus told her He who drinks my living water will never be thirsty. Living water represents God's words that needs to be obeyed. Mary Magdalene was true apostle in Jesus she is a witness to his crucifixion and his resurrection. JESUS choose her to represent

A woman cannot pastor. One of the biblical requirements for a pastor is to "be the husband of one wife." Also, in 1 Tim. 2:12, a woman is not to be in authority over a man. In Ephesians 5, wives are asked to submit to their husbands. This does not mean that we are not equal to men, but our roles are different and we are created to fulfill different roles than men. Hope this helps.
